Most of my posts come from more-speech. Bathroom posts come from Damus.
There are many features missing from more-speech that I am preparing to add once I get the database in place.
My vision for more-speech is as a whole-of-nostr tool, as opposed to a follow-my-friends tool. I want to see everything on as many relays as possible. That strategy worked just fine when our bandwidth was small. Now, however, the startup and shutdown speeds of more-speech are nearly intolerable because I write all the accumluated data to flat files on shutdown and read them in again at startup.
Oddly enough it is the contact lists and profiles that take the longest to load and store. We've accumulated a _lot_ of them. 75M of contacts and 30M of profiles.
Once the DB is in place, the startup and shutdown speeds should vastly improve.

Hi!
No published limitation. Some relays might decide that your messages are too long. Some clients might make the same decision. However, most relays and clients allow pretty long messages.
more-speech (github.com/unclebob/more-speech) allows you to create tabs with different follow/block lists. One of those tabs is "all" which shows you everything.

What conference was that? I might like to go. In any case, most of those boomers would likely remember NNTP, and once they realize that nostr is NNTP's bastard child, they'd likely get a bit more interested.

Sorry I've been absent for awhile. I just got back from a trip to Monument Valley. Thirteen pilots flew their planes up there and then spent two days zooming in and out of the canyons and buttes, and valleys and stuff. It was quite a hoot.

nostr_console by default saves all useful events locally in a file, and my file now has 48k events..
I've saved every message since early June. 31MB.
