This is old news from 2014, it never got accepted. And since 2015 unfortunately governing party is in bed (literally) with catholic church, so no chance for that. Maybe after elections next sunday...

When you say your relay list, do you mean nip65, nip02 or nip05? :) because each client decides to do their own thing, specially when broadcasting changes to the list... IMO you should prioritize nip65 and only and always save/update there, and only use other sources for reading only if user has empty nip65. nostr:npub1gp4xzpmluelsakjtayc4wtzj97fhj5kakqjvsannu00xkdlf4x8s0xdqyq read from nip65 > nip02 in that order, but writes ONLY to nip65.
You shouldn't need to share relays.
Assuming their client published a nip65 relay list to one common/popular relay from where your client can get it, your client should be able to get their posts from one of their outbox (write) relays.
