The incoming liquidity is usually only good for a set amount of time then you have to repurchase? Also one channel isn’t sufficient you’d need multiple correct? I don’t need to be a routing node.
My concern is that err body wants Lightning to be non custodial, but who has 10x the sats they keep in their custodial wallet to lock up just to achieve non custodial wallet status? I don’t want to risk my cold wallet holdings.
You do however need to have a relatively high amount of capital locked in Lightning channels to accomplish this?
I’m loving it. It also makes it feel waaaaay less scary to be using Bitcoin in general which I like.
Genuinely confused why you think Lightning is failing? I use it dozens of times a day and it works flawlessly with little to zero fees.

I want to but managing channels and liquidity is kinda high bar for me. Setting up something non custodial is still not far from my mind though…
