Note when I was talking in a reply comment about Brazil, Argentina and Israel having hyperinflation, that was for historical examples of the problem, I wasn't saying it happened during the Covid lockdown era. I think of those only Argentina has recently had problems with hyperinflation. Now, the case of Israel also shows that a country can even have hyperinflation and then stabilize and become a relatively normal economy again in a few decades since the last time it happened was in the 1980s ... Obviously today they have a war economy and it kinda sucks but prior to the recent goings-on they were doing ok.

Technically I think we didn't even get hyperinflation during the peak time of inflation which was actually mid-2022. There was a lag effect beteeen money printing and the tsunami of inflation hitting; I think lockdowns might have even slowed it a bit in some categories by limiting velocity of money although durable goods prices had already shot up because of supply chain problems. But what we saw after that was all services experiencing huge inflation which is still with us but a bit lower. And services are the majority of US economy now. Services inflation even according to official fake numbers is still 5% today.

Some countries like Brazil, Argentina and even Israel had times of hyperinflation and they would get 50%+ price increases in a month! Obviously we were never close to that but at times I would say it was 20-25% per year which still sucks because that means prices double in <3 years or so. And certainly prices have gone up more than they say, with some services already being 2-3x what they were a few years ago. But a hyperinflation that completely destroyed the US dollar value, well, they'd have to print a lot more to get that. Inflation will stay high though because both Trump and Kamala want to do even more deficit spending, so it doesn't even matter much who wins.

There are some others too who are still around but I see them even less. And several of my close friends moved far enough away that I may never see them again. So, I would have to make new ones and I am also not sure on the feasibility of that. I will keep tabs as I have kind of made new friends this year albeit in a very narrow context. This is a good experiment for me as the slightly more extroverted version of DS and MD.

shit it's not looking good for nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c unless dogs count as friends ( not unlikely )

well Mike i can help you lose weight but i can't help you make friends because i am also not exactly a people person LOL

jokes aside fascinating information but not new to me and i have understood the underlying principles long ago ...

I'm not sure how feasible it is to have close friendships these days with all the mobility in jobs and place of residence. There is like one close friend from my earlier life that I still see semi-regularly. And of course marriage, jobs, etc get in the way. I don't know how people have close friends now or even if it's possible.

Lol, you wouldn't think that third quote could possibly be a scenario in the real world ... BUT IT IS. The agecucks are fantastically dishonest and irrational people. They hounded that guy "Call Me Carson" off the internet because he was 19 and interested in/dating a 17yo girl (he just made retarded YT content for young gamers but didn't deserve that), the same thing I did when I was first in college.

Since we can't burn the witch I guess muting is a compromise.

I imagine we are "against it" for similar reasons, it being illegal and I don't want to have to move to some 3rd world country to do it either. I'm only interested in white girls from my own background. I'm all in favor of reforming age of consent but until then he's right, game or porn are the best options.

PS I got the flu or Covid or whatever plague is going around so I will have to mostly not post until I recover. Mental acuity severely impacted. Poor sleep, fever, aches etc.

Oh I wouldn't claim it was a great diet at all, but it worked. Also this was several years ago and I would do things differently now in the same situation. The bread is of course not essential but it made the meal seem more complete. I kept my diet bland for a couple of years until I was in the range I wanted to be, and there were many variations. For example, I would also use chicken and steamed vegetables for dinner. Or for breakfast, I would have granola, whey protein and yogurt with some jam -- it was certainly the case that fiber acted as an appetite suppressant.

Not a great diet but it wasn't meant to be, it was just a means to an end.

It's contemptible what happened to the Anglosphere in terms of social attitudes. But clearly this didn't happen overnight. It sounds like these were the last of Silent Gen, or people who'd have been born before WWII ended. So, clearly, that's the last generation that actually cared about classical liberal ideals. After that we have Boomers, a generation of selfish perpetual children -- and what a shock to find out that their rise corresponds with civilization's decline.

Yes, when you think of Shapiro as a kind of Mossad or IDF handler for various Western figures, including Elon Musk, the whole thing including his meteoric rise to media dominance makes sense.

Yeah. I should've known the way things were headed. It's becoming clear that not only were social media a brainwashing experiment but the plan all along was to use them to train AI. They've been doing that for about a dozen years at least. They also experimented with reinforcement learning on human subjects on these platforms.

In about 2018 I made a paper list of all the accounts I have, and I've added to it since then, but it's not complete, so yes I am going to have to carefully go through and ferret out all the accounts. My goal as of now is to be totally off social media in about 5 years except for ones like Nostr.

To get an idea of the nefarious ways this can be put to use, J6 or Israel's ongoing destruction of Hezbollah give an idea (both used AI for network tracing; Silicon Valley has not hid their involvement with the Israeli military). This stuff is already being put to use in the next generation of totalitarian police statism and high-tech warfare. And it's going to accelerate from here.

CIA conspiracy theories aren't that far out when you look into the facts.

The reason I don't trust X isn't so much the content as the people. I can't trust anymore that popular accounts aren't just paid propagandists. We all know the algorithms there aren't neutral and that certain content gets boosted above others.

It's all astroturf now. I used to believe there were "self made stars" on social media but the illusion has been shattered -- any of them might be on someone's payroll. All the influencers busted for taking foreign regime money recently are a good example (see: Tenet Media). And Elon himself is a propagandist in foreign pay.

There's no way to trust these Silicon Valley companies -- it's all smoke and mirrors.

I'll take the under on that.
