Wait. Yesterday morning you were reading Mastering Bitcoin (https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqs09pgmzy0utfq6v68vqp39h7mqugrnkcrcfat8cr8kg0shm9za34gez9ekt). Did you read and understand all of it in one day? Impressive.
Of course not. I had previously read most of the 2nd edition and now I’m working my way through the 3rd edition over several weeks. I don’t focus on the code, but instead the logic and execution.
It’s a journey, not a destination.

This is how I spend a Sunday morning. Clearly, I’m beyond redemption.

The Bitcoin protocol does not dictate a uniform network structure—it gives rise to divergent network topologies across layers. The peer-to-peer relay network is shaped by constraints, resulting in a bounded mesh. The mining network, by contrast, is unconstrained and subject to strong preferential attachment, leading to extreme scale-invariance and centralization risk. Each layer must be analyzed independently—and protected differently.

That’s called getting one’s priorities straight. Your time preference is falling, which is a good thing. Other than dopamine hits, gaming doesn’t procure lasting outcomes. Vibe coding is personally rewarding, but produces actual results that others can benefit from.
Which is why parasovereign protocols and systems like family, language, Bitcoin, and Nostr are needed.

As for Bukele, his dictatorial caudillo tendencies were apparent years ago.
All nations pursue their own interests, and that includes the US, Israel, and the Palestinians. I'm not saying I agree with US support for Israel. I'm saying reducing it to money or the supposed influence of AIPAC is lazy thinking. There are historical, geopolitical, and geostrategic reasons why the US supports Israel and other Middle East nations. You and I may not agree with them, but that is the reality of the world we live in. If we're going to be strategically effective we have to see the world as it is and understand it so we can act well.
The US became involved in the Middle East long before AIPAC was a thing. Why do you think that is? Could it be geopolitics and Cold War strategy?
Money has nothing to do with it.
What if it's in America's interests to support Israel?

Leadership Principle #9: Training Your Team for Optimal Performance
A well-trained team operates cohesively, enhancing performance, boosting morale, and fostering a positive work environment. Engaged individuals, when equipped with clear roles, can unlock their full potential.
Effective training, coupled with solid organization, is key. Organizations and teams benefit from clear structures defining roles, responsibilities, and communication channels, leading to enhanced efficiency and growth opportunities for team members.
Key Considerations:
- Is your organization structured with clear authority, communication, and accountability?
- Do roles align with individual talents, training, and goals while meeting organizational needs?
- Are mission, objectives, and strategies clearly understood by all? Is there a culture of initiative?
Actions for Skill Development:
- Assess organizational structure with a focus on clarity and efficiency.
- Engage with team members to ensure roles match their skills and aspirations.
- Foster open dialogue through team meetings to enhance communication and structure.
- Drive improvements based on team feedback to optimize performance and structure.
Pretty much. Believing in the former requires work. Believing the latter doesn’t.
Are you sure it’s me? I wrote that fears of AI ruining young brains are premature, driven more by ideology than actual science.
The physical sciences study what is measurable, interchangeable, and law-bound—matter, energy, force, transformation. The life sciences study beings: individuated, self-maintaining, and purpose-driven. A rock is mass; a bacterium is a being. Physics describes what things do. Biology asks how living things do what they do as beings.
I showed her your profile and stuff. I think it inspired her. We'll see.

Leadership Principle #4: Lead by Example
A fundamental aspect of effective leadership is leading by example. Leaders play a crucial role in shaping the behaviors and attitudes of their followers, peers, and the organization as a whole. By demonstrating integrity, ethical conduct, and decisiveness, a leader sets the tone for the entire team.
Reflecting on past experiences, consider the impact of working under a leader with questionable competencies and integrity. How did you and your colleagues feel, and what strategies did you adopt to navigate challenges arising from the leader's shortcomings?
Conversely, think about a time when you had the privilege of working under a competent leader who exemplified professional excellence and ethical integrity. How did this experience influence the team's morale, cohesion, and overall performance?
Evaluate your own leadership approach. Are you consistently a positive role model for your followers and peers? Do your actions align with the values you expect from others? Strive to embody the leadership qualities you admire and avoid practices that detract from effective leadership.
To enhance your leadership skills, consider:
- Identifying and applying admired leadership qualities consciously.
- Avoiding poor leadership practices by self-observation and adjustment.
- Viewing your actions from the perspective of others to meet both expectations and needs.
- Reflecting on past inconsistencies between words and actions to improve future alignment and credibility.
Effective leadership hinges on integrity, consistency, and leading by example. By prioritizing ethical conduct and self-improvement, leaders can inspire trust, loyalty, and respect from their team members.

Leadership Principle #2: Embrace Self-Improvement for Effective Leadership
Understanding and acknowledging one's strengths and limitations is pivotal for personal and professional growth. While the first principle focuses on realism, the second delves into self-awareness and improvement, essential for effective leadership. To lead and influence others effectively, one must grasp human nature, starting with self-understanding.
Self-improvement begins with recognizing one's strengths, limitations, motivations, and mental states. Cultivating self-knowledge and awareness empowers individuals to adjust their thoughts, emotions, and actions, enhancing their effectiveness. This principle complements the pursuit of professional competence, emphasizing continuous enhancement of performance and skills.
Key Reflection Points:
- Identify your significant professional and personal strengths, valued by superiors, subordinates, and peers.
- Explore activities you excel in and talents that define you.
- Acknowledge your limitations, areas where improvement is needed.
- Reflect on aspects that challenge you, drain your energy, or require extra effort.
Techniques for Skill Development:
- Enhance your strengths by aligning skills and knowledge to maximize their impact.
- Mitigate limitations by developing new skills or knowledge to manage them effectively.
- Consider collaborating with individuals possessing complementary strengths to compensate for your limitations.
Self-improvement is a journey of introspection and growth, laying the foundation for impactful leadership. Embrace self-awareness and continuous development to excel in your professional endeavors. #SelfImprovement #LeadershipDevelopment
