All fixed assets go up forever against fiat and credit based money that expand indefinitely. You're correct that this makes it harder to acquire these assets over time; however, that is the fault of the infinitely expanding money supply, not the fixed assets. The only cure for this is to stop infinitely expanding the money supply.

I'm also waiting for lightning implementations that close channels to offline keys (single or multi sig). I'd feel a lot more comfortable holding more in lightning channels if I knew my sats ultimately would land in cold storage.
