HODLing is like base chain. Now that price is increasing I am thinking of the concept of timelocking payments. I want to go to a Bitcoin conference but the ticket is very expensive like 200 - 300 Fiat units. I lock in 75 Fiat units now in lightning and in the future when that money can pay for the ticket I will go to my first conference. Also I know in the future I want to buy a new computer so I lock in 500 units and in the future unlock the value that allows me to buy a higher level quality pc that what my investment can buy me right now :)

Noticing lots of salt on twitter about $MSTR.

I think it’s exposing a divide between people who are first gen savers/investors vs. people who come from white collar backgrounds.

Most children of the professional class were taught to minimize tax and take advantage of tax advantaged investment vehicles.

When these types became Bitcoiners they aped their Roths and 401k’s into bitcoin stocks like $MSTR

Those from a blue collar background are more distrustful of institutions and legal structures and so didn’t have any money stuck in retirement accounts to begin with.

So for them no reason to buy $MSTR over spot bitcoin.

When microstrategy started outperforming and people were celebrating on twitter it made the latter group feel salty.

Just an observation. I can get into the specific pros and cons of having a bitcoin retirement account vs not having one if anyone is curious.

There are pros and cons for both sides.

I think it is more the investors of 60 - 40 portfolio seeing first hand the reality that we all live in a ponzi scheme and for them this is their paradigm shift. They are realising what most bitcoiners did when they read their first investment book and understood what a PE ratio is and understood everything is fucked xD.

I had one of those false wake-up dreams.

I generally check a couple things on my phone when I wake up, including the bitcoin price when it is within a raging bull market or bear market, and so in the dream I checked it and it was $84,254. I was like, “oh, nice”.

But then of course I woke up and it was just $72k. And then I was like, “Geez even your dreams are lame. $84k and change? Not even $100k or some flashy number?” It was even plausibly correcting on the screen, like it was coming down from a spike to $86k with a perfectly plausible consolidating price chart. The most mid-curve normie dream imaginable.

But then after chilling with my husband in the morning sun and drinking some tea, I checked my phone again and saw Craig Wright get totally rekt at trial, which is way, way better than $84k bitcoin.

Don’t mean to be annoying I am sure it was a shitty situation for you. Just I work on the opposite situation where everybody decides things in closed doors and tells you what to do only via word never written and you can be sure as shit when it goes bad and it always does they never said what you were told. Even more I have been said to my face “e-mails does not trigger an action” meaning that even though I told somebody to do a task written it down and they didn’t do it, they still defend themselves with bullshit excuses.

So I am a very big apologist of “I will start right away the task you requested as soon as you send me the e-mail”. Call it ledger technology for tasks and responsibilities x)
