Hearing lots of stories from post-graduate Brazilians having their social media scrutinized during the tourist VISA interview (to come for conferences and such) and being questioned on the use of words like "vaccines", "black community" or that previously criticized this administration, and getting eventually rejected.

Similarly, US researchers applying for grants have received guidance to replace words commonly associated with the left with abbreviations or alternative spellings to avoid triggering keyword search and immediate rejection.

I'm in the rather odd position of posting self-portraits into a feed containing (white and Asian) women half my age, who are much thinner and better-looking than I am. A few of them have all of their clothes on (usually), and a subset of them are even real.

Sometimes I wonder, if I'm annoying everyone with this odd spergy habit (probably), or if the sort of unapologetic realism of a countenance only an artist could love adds some greater depth of humanity to your feed, that otherwise is full of perfect people doing perfect things in perfect places.

I don't know.

And I'm too autistic to really care.
