Yes, agree. Not only is the (technological) development exponential as multiple subjects converge but same is true for ideas & information, which further accelerates development.

Those were the good old days... ๐Ÿ˜„

Thanks for sharing.

Are there domain services that are decentralized? I understand that the existing domain name system is very much centralized. The eth guys have their ens service, but is there something for btc or on Nostr?

Great news ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I think sunscreen can be an extra layer of protection. However, better to first 'improve" the innate sun resiliance by reducing the amount of seed oils in the diet and increase animal fat.

Reason is that the body uses whatever fat it gets to build cells and seed oils consist of primarily highly oxidative polyunsaturated fats that decay much quicker than saturated fat from animals (e.g. butter, lard). Consumption of seed oils has increased massively sich 1900 .

The decay of these seed oils in your skin leads to less resilience towards sun radiation (skin cells get damaged) = you burn more quickly.

Additionally, the decaying seed oils break up into toxic compounds.

Lots of people on a largely animal based or even carnivore diet have experienced an improvement in the time they can spend in the sun without getting burned as well as quicker recovery if burned. I've had this experience too.

Might be worth considering. No harm in trying out.

๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹... Getting hungry again seeing thus... and I just had steak.

You may want to check out Dr. Paul Mason on this topic and also others such as seed oils.

Great stuff.

There is no proven mechanism of how saturated fat were to cause hard disease. Still a hypothesis after decades (Lipid Heart Hypothesis).

Ken Berry is indeed a goid source too as mentioned by others.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘.. Indeed.

He never disappoints in strenghening the conviction in btc.

Interesting. I have the feeling that Nostr is currently very much a bitcoin-centric space.

To increase network effect Nostr needs other people to come onboard, which will broaden the content and its quality to have a diverse information base.

Let's see. It's still early days.

Whether it is an attack or not, wouldn't the road to massadoption/hyperbitcoinisation anyway lead to congestion and much higher fees ๐Ÿค”?

I think the high fees we see now act as incentive to find solutions for scaling of the basechain, so we can actual adopt the masses.

๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ‘ enjoy.

Beef?

I think energy is the master resource and ultimate discount rate. The higher energy prices go the lower the present value gets of every think else.

I think because these are called Npub and Nsec in the first place. If it had been username and password to begin with, there would likely be less confusion.

However, you point out the critical difference: it can't be changed and restored. As with Bitcoin, one must re-learn to take responsibility.

Bitcoin - High Transaction Fees: A Sign of Growing Pains and a Stronger Network

I'm no expert on JPEGS, BRC-20, or even Bitcoin, but I enjoy learning and sharing my thoughts on these topics as I continue to grow and discover new things.

Is this good for Bitcoin ? YES. If you pay the fee, there is no problem.

It is exciting, fun, and awesome to try something new. So much confusion and fear concerning Bitcoin due to this โ€œmore usageโ€. The base layer works as intended, and minersโ€™ fees are at a record high.

Innovation on top of the Taproot upgrade โ€œordinalsโ€ โ€œBRC-20โ€ has led to an influx of spam transactions, putting the Bitcoin network to the test. This is what Bitcoin needs, which is very beneficial for Bitcoin in the long run as it tests and strengthens the network.

๐Ÿš€ The Emergence of BRC-20 and Ordinals.

These are purely the result of the Taproot upgrade, and now โ€œcrypto degensโ€ are doing what crypto degens do, experiment, have fun, do weird shit, and gamble the shit out of anything - Productizing the Bitcoin block space.

JPEGS - ordinals - NFT

BRC-20 - โ€œmemecoinsโ€

This allows for creating new โ€œasset classesโ€ like BRC-20, which offers a "fair mint" issuance mechanism over several blocks. Those who pay the most for the block space receive an allocation known as proof-of-fees-paid.

โ†’ Increased demand for Bitcoin's block space, resulting in higher fees.

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ The Benefits for Miners and the Bitcoin Network:

Higher transaction fees undoubtedly benefit miners, who receive more rewards for processing these transactions. Additionally, the higher fees are a testament to the increased network usage, which ultimately strengthens Bitcoin's security and robustness.

443k unconfirmed TXs. Yeah it is pretty crazy at the moment. Bitcoin is still in its infancy, with a 500bn market cap, and how many people have even heard about Bitcoin?

The market will adapt to these changes, leading to a more resilient Bitcoin ecosystem. Solutions like the Lightning Network and Liquid Networks already exist, and more innovations will likely emerge in response to these growing pains. Binance is already hinting they will adopt lightning?

โ†’ More innovations will likely emerge in response to these growing pains.

๐Ÿ’กConclusion

The market will find a way to harmonize and adapt to these changes, ultimately leading to a more robust and resilient Bitcoin ecosystem. Bitcoin is still in its infancy.

We are witnessing growing pains. Bitcoin, if anything, can withstand challenges and continues to grow and innovate.

Chill, have a lower time preference and stop the drama. Enjoy the ride as we watch the Bitcoin ecosystem evolve and mature.

Agree ๐Ÿ‘

Higher fees will accelerate scaling solutions and other development to increase efficient use of block space.
