👍 Amazon.com has it or else AliExpress.

Depends on whether amazon ships to your location. I had to get it from AliExpress.

You may want to check out Orange Pi 5.

Runs on linux (e.g. ubuntu) and you can easily install e.g. umbrel on it.

Have opted to Orange Pi5 for the same reason and it works perfect.

Subscribed to your channel.. Keep the content coming 😄😄.. No pressure 😂

Yea.. Thought about it again. Makes sense to have it separated. More feature-rich software is more complex and hence more vulnerable.

Keep it simple... Like Bitcoin.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying.

Decentralized dats storage is going to be a challenge. Haven't thought through the issues.

Thx for sharing.

Altough encryption at application or even OS level is key to protect information, I'm pretty sure that Apple, Google etc that manifacture hardware and software can still acces data prior to encryption. These fancy foto features like face recon, text recon, text to speech all depend on accessing unencrypted data.

So, the real threat is govt. accessing your data via Apple/Google.

No noise on mine either. It barely gets warm running umbrel on ubuntu linux.

Might be different if you were to really push it hard.. Or you got a defective fan (happend to me).

Umbrel is a "personal" home server. By default its supposed to run in a local area network and is not accessible from the internet. Only via tor or tailscail vpn. If you intent to run a public server, umbrel is not for you.

Umbrel uses tor by default.. Hence connections are slower but more privacy.

You can disable it in the node settings if you want.

To speed up initial node sync you can increase memory in the bitcoin node app settings. Standard is 450mb. I changed it to 3gb while syncing, then back to standard.
