Can you read this? Probably not, I'm invisible

I'm sorry but I think your statement is the distraction and the waste of time.

Ecash is not only cool, but improves privacy, transaction success and reduces entrance costs of Lightning. Like being able to run a LN Node on a RPi was, this is another paradigm shift in improving decentralisation and lowering friction for money transaction.

Replying to Avatar Minibits

After three days of unstable and slow Minibits mint, zaps and lightning address services we are hopefully back to being faster then lightning!

All evil caused by slow TLS handshakes on reverse proxy server. Not much that can be googled about, had to dig into the deep hole of wireshark. Nevertheless, only remedy was just to migrate reverse proxy out of container and rebuild it directly on host server.

Sorry for inconvenience, one can not be pissed enough when zaps do not go through!

Hello I use your app and LN address service, I think they are great, thank you for making them!

However, I was told that when someone tries to zap me, they get an error. Its probably because of/ only when tried through Tor and maybe related to Cloudflare

Tried to zap you, but also got an error, I DMed you about both errorss

A system to note things about stuff over relays

From what I understand of Nostr and apps in general (which is not a lot) and from what I see connecting through Tor, I think this makes sense:

nostr:nevent1qqst5qe2ff477l9lu4ms6xkyxurg7qkye5m7wdudnddhl8jhl3pd5tgpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsygxsm6lelvfda7qlg0tud9pfhduysy4vrexj65azqtdk4tr75j6xdspsgqqqqqqslsu9zc

Maybe we just aren't there yet in Nostr development, the point at which you can and should develop a good local cache

Definitely! Maybe convince him with a generous ecash giftcard?

I was thinking the same, great video, would like to send this to close relations. However if i send this to my parents who are not fluent in English, they would get stranded on language like 'broker' or 'ledger'. So I second you in asking for various language versions!

Maybe Lyn can make a zap poll with a couple of translation languages? That way you can figure out interest for a specific language, and she immediately gets funding to make it happen or put out some translation bounties?

No, some accounts are Fiatjaf bots, like htlc_nbot

Did more basic functional tests of lnbits thanks to nostr:npub18pudjhdhhp2v8gxnkttt00um729nv93tuepjda2jrwn3eua5tf5s80a699 pointing me in the right direction to some test instances

I'm curious.. what is the relevance of the wallet id? is it considered sensitive? or is that just exposed for clarity as to which wallet is being acted on?

#asknostr

I thought it was very sensitive, not sure if still the case. You could get full access to someones wallet and funds when you had his wallet ID. Since then some login, superuser and password functionality has been added, but I m not sure this locks wallets/funds.

Circusses (as in bread & circusses, "are you not entertained?")

Its why normal, lazy people give up on nostr: here you need to keep looking, keep refreshing your follows, go out of your way to continually have fresh, exciting, emoting content to look at. Facebook, Twitter, INSTA shove whatever they think entertains you in your face through their algos

I agree, nostr should by default work well over a bad connection, like a minimal Tor-connection. Things like profiles, names ( instead of npubs), avatar pics should just display (maybe by caching this on device). If that means (further) limiting Max follows, name size, avatar size etc. for this to work, so be it. Arbitrary limitations are necessary anyway, otherwise all implementations will vary to wildly to be interoperable

I first noticed this on a bottle when sitting in a skilift and I thought "wow, that's really useful"

New mute words just dropped: "kendrick" "lamar" "Drake"

I can login with nsec.app and get this list. After selecting "mute all" it seems to process correctly and ends with "done, try again". When opening Amethyst first time it did show the bots still, nothing added in blocklist.

This can be because me with nsec.app and Amethyst didn't do everything right
