I bypassed some of the security warnings and noticed that the couple dozen posts on Nostrgram are all from April 2023.

I don't know if the client is just lightly used or if there's something not working right now.

I vaguely recall there being an Instagram-like client for Nostr already.

We already have Twitter-like clients (which is the majority of them) and some longer form, blog-style clients.

Surely, we have a place to post and scroll through images as well?

Exactly. Dr Mercola has been promoting all sorts of natural approaches to nutrition and health for decades now. I remember reading his site religiously back in the early 2000s.

If it weren't for my initial education from his site, I wouldn't have found WAPF and others later on.

Maybe it's time we introduce the good doc to Nostr and start zapping the heck out of his publications?

If you can see their notes and can follow them, then you should be perfectly fine!

But if you want some extra assurance, there is another way forward. I don't remember if Amethyst has the option, but many clients allow you to see the list of relays that any particular Nostrich is using. If you're game to play around, you might want to dig through the profiles of a few people you follow, see which relays they have in common, and then ensure you're connecting to all those relays, just as extra insurance for the future.

Users and/or the clients they are using will select which relays to publish and push their content out.

Depending on which relays you are subscribed to, you will be able to see different content.

But most common clients, whether on mobile (such as Amethyst & Plebstr) or on desktop (such as Primal, Iris, etc.) will automatically connect to the most popular relays, so you shouldn't have trouble seeing most content from your average user.

If you wanted to later to get into something more niche or to connect to some kind of group or subculture's internal messages, you'd have to look for those particular relays. Yet, I don't think that's much of a thing just yet.

How many of you are parents? How many of you have kids in public schools?

I recommend that you check out this recent piece from the Dissident Teacher, who has some words of wisdom for you, especially in regard to fighting against the woke agenda and bizarre curricular choices made in our modern schools.

Just to give you a nibble, Dissident Teacher recommends:

- Find out what the “essential standards” are in your child’s class, i.e. which skills and what knowledge are most heavily emphasized.

- If the teacher assigns a reading outside the textbook, ask for an alternate, less-harmful reading, or one that balances the author’s viewpoint. Delay turning in any work until you get the new resource.

Even if you're sending your child to a private school, some of these tips can help you.

You MUST be involved in your children's education, every step of the way. Don't go on autopilot and assume their teachers can handle everything. Stay involved!
