I'm sick to death of seeing airdrop spam and this is piss compared to what is coming.
Turning the other cheek doesn't mean walking into the crowd of pharisees to be ridiculed.
I don't think there is any offense in this conversation so far. The whole concept-space of sin is corrupted by inversions and perversions that are used to excuse the violence of criminals especially the ones in the ruling class.
The conversation on Nostr will not always be this relaxed though, the time will come soon that everyone's client applications needs to strenuously apply users desired filters. I'm sick to death of Coracle not having a full out block option, and watching two spammers keep referring to my notes in their shitcoin scams.
Yeah, I never really thought about it as a gender-tendency but yes, outrage mobs are a female thing. So is "going along to get along".
I've committed adultery. I've stolen, I've lied, I've dishonored my parents... I haven't murdered anyone, but this is an uncommon sin.
You are right now committing the sin of lying by omission, because nobody has not lied, this is the easiest, and the primary type of sin that gives birth to the others.
To seek to avoid committing sins is simply to avoid committing errors, just as an error in walking is to stumble or fall or get lost.
Forgiveness is required because it is a sin to punish or pay for a past error more than once also, since there is no debt once it has been paid back.
Paying it back is not the only way, and should not be confused as a way to become a saint. Or you will deliberately set up opportunities to commit evil acts and then claim it was to practise forgiveness.
More deception, right there. A common one too, very many evil people practise this idea of it being ok to do violence if you "make it up to them". No, never, every time you repeat, your sin is clearly deeper and your evil more toxic and thus you should be shunned.
The Byzantine Generals Problem highlights the nature of Malice and how it is functionally the same as Error, only differing by the intent to commit the error, being the definition of Malice.
The notion of Sin is just another version of the concept of Error.
Of course we can't be without error. We can't know everything, and our movements cannot be flawless.
Anyone who claims to know everything is committing the malicious act of deception and should be avoided and shunned, no matter how many stupid people bow down to them.
All people claiming offense as a reason to censure or exile you is the same behaviour, persecution. I am also not afraid but I'm also never ever gonna get caught in a corner with an outrage gang either.
Sin is just making mistakes, either by accident, or with intent to profit. Of course we cannot avoid it entirely. But what use is there in not forgiving yourself, at minimum? Since this is an error, it is a sin. It is an error to not attend to the present moment, and dwelling on and repeatedly punishing yourself is also an error.
How often do you stumble while walking now that you have mastered walking? Never?
I am still amazed that such a plain flavor of potato chips tweaked out my wisdom tooth again.
Seed oils, and potatoes are now fully off my menu.
Forgiveness means getting a chance to change your behaviour and stop doing it. If you are still alive, you can have it, if you become steadfastly determined to change.
It's necessary because even the most wise still have a little stumble here and there, but so long as it is only thought and does not lead to action, it is not a sin. Dwelling on the thoughts does make it tend to become an action, so casting it from your mind is part of the work.
The purpose of the rules is in promoting market efficiency and the prosperity of the people. Every single one of them, alone, being broken, leads to the rest of them being broken and ending up with a society like we have now, on the brink of self destruction.
The christians, in the following 300 years were the biggest pain in the ass of rome, not just in Palestine but the entire balkans/mediterranean region. That's how the empire split into the catholic and the orthodox after Constantine and the Council of Nicaea.
I wouldn't call pushing over the teetering, internally collapsing corruption a conquest though.
The simple fact is that the virgin birth, and the resurrection are stories from ancient Babylonian origin, relating to Marduk, Samirimus, and the little boy Nimrod, who was their son, who took Samirimus as his wife and killed Marduk, becoming the king of Babylon who built the Tower of Babel. The babylonians followed the Cult of Kings and whoever held that position was the incarnation of the Sun God.
And via the doctrine of transubstantiation (incarnating of spiritual beings) the Communion is literally cannibalism.
These three elements, and the associated Holy Trinity are old pagan traditions.
I was raised being told that Christmas and Easter were both pagan festivals of the Sun God, and the church in general did not celebrate them.
Not that it says anything, just go look up the frauds Ellen White and John Harvey Kellogg if you want to learn more about the church I was raised in. My mother's big brother was Mormon too. They literally have stories about humans with high technology being the real, and contemporary Angels. Their stories are very closely connected to modern stories about aliens.
Immanuel means "God is with us". It's probably another name for Messiah, you'd be able to validate that by checking the hebrew. "learns to reject the bad and choose the good" refers to him coming of age, 12 years.
All that stuff about virgin births tho *cough*. Never sat right with me, nor the resurrection. If you want to read some actual history of a man who was at first loved by the Jews and then condemned by them, and in that time between, considered to be "the king of the Jews", check out Simon bar Giora. The narrative of Life of Brian is partly based on this, and all the contemporary history relating to the many revolutionary organisations trying to throw out the Romans.
Yesterday I again made the mistake of eating Marks and Spencer brand chips.
I'm usually more careful than this, but I naively thought that the "salt and black pepper" flavor would be, you know, only salt and pepper on it.
I am gonna have to go look closer at the ingredient list, but I already caught one ingredient, Maltodextrin. It was in far larger quantities in the "peri peri" flavour. After a pack of the Peri Peri flavor Marks and Spencer chips my half-fallen-off bottom right wisdom tooth was agony for almost a whole week.
Tonight, about 12 hours after eating this toxic waste, my tooth is flaring again.
Quite aside from the rapeseed and sunflower seed oils on it, maltodextrin is absolute toxic waste. I had previously already established when it is in drinks that it makes me piss brown, but now I'm starting to think that it has far more nasty effects than that, if it is injuring my dental nerves like this.
> Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, a skilled surgeon who donated his services to indigent patients, advocated circumcision as a remedy for local uncleanliness, phimosis, and masturbation in his book "Plain Facts for Old And Young".
Ah, see, of course my life had some relation to him as he was connected to the Seventh Day Adventists.
I have never understood why every last human who sells 60 and 80mm fans hasn't been executed for crimes against humanity.
Minimum fan size for my taste is 120mm, and 140 is finally getting to reasonable.
The other thing is these high RPM fans they wear out a lot faster.
It's a violation of the right to require informed consent.
It interferes with normal sexual behaviour and increases the frequency of divorces caused by unsatisfied women.
Not one single case of another mammal that exists that doesn't have a foreskin and isn't an essential part of normal sexual function.
And Kellogs, yes the cornflakes guy, was the main reason why it started to become a routine operation in USA in the late 19th century, and the real reason was to stop masturbation.
All the other shit that is given to justify it is as legitimate as the "science" behind fluoridation (only helps 7-8 year olds enamel not get so many caries from the acid/sugar laden soda fountains).
The firmware stuff is awesome too, you can use it to dial back the power/heat output so it doesn't sound like a dental drill all the time. Good for heating use case.
