Should be. Look at the StartOS marketplace. All their apps, or “services,” run in Docker. It’s all open source so you can see how they did it. I know they have a relay

I personally think you should upgrade to more capable hardware. You can run StartOS on most any old hardware tbh. Much more power.

Haven’t found it either tbh. This can’t replace my twitter yet… I might just need a guide for dummies 🤷‍♂️

Well, hopefully your coding skills have improved since then and you can just rewrite it better

But seriously - who has the time for that? 🤣

Finally got it setup…!

Now I can start

Ok it wasn’t that hard. nostr:npub1tv8gmfhalwnxxquxjzeh6gtdsdz6vg7vx0s3rt7s7uuw6aujh32qn77wn2 makes it to easy with his tutorials…

Opening up old code repositories to start where I left off 6 months ago is so tiring…

I code in order to fight this future.

Free the money. Free the human. nostr:note1rmmd6kp88e3djtng749prqhf8jftyafcur22j9ducu5gy7k3cqqsjt6jl0

Right - skill, time and money. I’d be happy to have all my content free, but if I can’t do it myself, I’ll need to have people pay me for it. Otherwise I’ll find a free relay or pay for hosting.

Same as how websites work. Once they scale you need money. Anyone can host themselves on their own computers. Running it reliably is costly.

I think that’s true right now, at the beginning, while it’s being bootstrapped.

Like bitcoin, there has to be an incentive for running the network. If we can’t keep the lights on via “tips” then we will all charge a fee. Even a small one.

I think it can’t scale on altruism. The spirit is there right now, though, to be sure.
