Did we just get Rick rolled?
Looking to switch away from Umbrel. It’s fine for node running, but doesn’t allow HTTPS and can’t use it with VPN. If I’m going to run a lighting wallet, then I need more privacy. Anyone have OS recommendations for Raspberry Pi?

Actual footage of IRS gang members collecting magic internet money. The IRS gang tax pays for the privilege of living in a “free” country. And for protection from the IRS gang.
Also, bring your Opendimes to local meetups! Just need 3 or more people with equal amount of sats on their usb sticks and everyone passes it to the person on their left. 🤌🏽
I’m with you brother. I guess you don’t live in California/Little North Korea. No 2A out here. Trump if you’re reading this, please hang newscum!
Watch for $5 wrench.
The IRS is incentivizing people to sell their Bitcoin so that they will need to rebuy under stricter KYC requirements. Do not.

You just need to download the Bitcoin software at www.bitcoincore.org. It’s a large file almost 1TB. Once you download it the Bitcoin ghosts will pretty much come alive and start verifying transactions for everyone on the network all on their own. That’s all there is to node running.
If you don’t have at least 1TB of memory available, then you won’t be able to run a full node (meaning the entire Bitcoin Blockchain), but you can still run a pruned node which only stores the most recent 300GB worth of Bitcoin transactions.
The part where it gets interesting is that people don’t want to leave their laptops or some energy-intensive desktop computer running 24/7 so they opt to buy a miniature single-board computer like a Raspberry Pi or something similar. Lots of choices here. These you can leave running 24/7 with minimal power usage. There are some great operating systems designed for this like Umbrel or any of the other hundreds of free Linux distributions that offer their own App Store with a bunch of cool applications that you can interact with from your mobile device.
People like to refer to these little single board computers as nodes.
Anyone have experience with this decentralized cell phone service?
I have a feeling the words “Pulled from US App Stores” could become a common theme for self-sovereign Bitcoiners. We need decentralized mobile devices with decentralized App Store!
What’s the best wallet for lightning?
So if 3 people were to zap 100 sats to the person on their left, then the KYC falls off for all 3 of them right?
