I wonder how a structure could be worked out to pay Congress based on certain metrics like how CEO pay packages are structured.
Obviously a lot of thought would need to be put in to stop unhelpful metric manipulation and perverse incentives that are rife in government actions, but the idea is intriguing.
I also am intrigued about “kill switch” provisions that would make sitting legislators ineligible for reelection if certain red lines are crossed.
I detest most movies that come out these days but I am pretty excited about the “Homestead” movie from Angel Studios that is coming out on December 20th. I might even go see it that night 😅

Volatility can be solved with instant conversion to something like USDT but then what it the point of accepting Bitcoin.

On my normie phone I occasionally get SMS messages from some foreign number obviously scamming about how my package has been delayed at customs.
I really want to troll them and waste their time by saying that I was expecting a kilo of cocaine and asking how much bitcoin would it take to get it released. But the phone is tied to my identity so my little joke would probably get me raided by some misguided federal agency who didn’t share my sense of humor
By and large I love Signal Messenger but I don’t like how it handles ‘reacts’ — I’ll often get a notification that I’ll ignore because I’m on my phone but working on something but then I can’t find who reacted what to what

I haven’t studied it myself but from my limited understanding Esperanto seems to do it the simple way but I wonder why/how languages developed to be so complex instead of distilling down to a more simple structure over time.

1A) Things spontaneously happen
Or
1B) Someone causes things to happen while making it seem spontaneous
And
2) Various people/organizations spin 1A/B to fit a desired narrative or at least align with a certain worldview
Regardless of 1A or 1B, it seems the pivotal part is how 2 is handled. 1B is probably easier to predict and shape but 1A could be just as impactful.
Does giving attention to an 1A/B event, even if to refute the mainstream spin, play into the hands of 2 by giving the ‘fire’ its ‘oxygen’? #asknostr
