I just figured the mnemonic of relating r with "hard r" might help people remember which one was which a little easier haha.

The easiest way to think of r/K selection strategy for those who may not know about is that "r" can be thought of as the strategy that "hard r's" take in having and "raising" children while K can be thought of as the strategy that Whites and some Asians use is having and raising children.

The "r's" pump out as many as possible without putting much time or resources into their offspring and hope that some of them survive to reproduce again. It's basically just a "numbers game" with them.

The "K's" have a few offspring and devote more time and resources into raising them so that they will turn out better and have a better chance of surviving and reproducing.

I believe the term midwit is for people above average intelligence but not quite MENSA or genius levels. Something around 115 would be considered midwit according to what I understand. I suppose it is dependent upon which test is used as well since some tests are easier and give higher scores.

Depending on which test it was it still might not even be in the top 3% but there isn't any test I'm aware of in regards to intelligence quotient where 97 is in the top 3%. In fact, for most of them and for most races he wouldn't even be in the top 30% unless he was african or something similar.
