What bugs me about the van eck guy
He just wants to know what’s going to happen to satoshis bitcoin?
Uncover satoshi so we can shore up the prospectus?
Unhinged
> Spend hours telling an AI what to do
> Talk to my two year old
It’s all just carefully asking for the right thing
I don’t spend a lot of time in the libertarian meme of picking your exact genre but I’m pretty sure at this point I’m not an ancap.
Don’t get me wrong I have friends who are, and I love everything about the ideology, but it’s hard for me to get behind the real end goal, which appears to me to be burning it all down and replacing it with ~not much~
I rarely pick the “mid” option but I think I’m much more of a minarchist. Or rather I’d love to see ancap work, but I’m not going to let that prevent me from trying to influence our institutions today.
What I see right now is a huge push of the Overton window towards liberty. Doge could very well be the minarchist dream and it seems to be driven by the same sort of thought.
To have many libertarians say “that’s not good enough” and “I’m not aligned with any politician,” …while I understand the sentiment, I think it’s a bit of a shame.
The bitcoin community could stand to get a lot out of the current US administration. I’ve seen x posts about going back to the gold standard, negativity around debanking. Questioning regulatory overreach.
I’m going to do my damndest to try to push these conversations, and at this point I have no shame in working within the current political system.
I half think ancap is a psyop to get libertarians locked in a “I’m more anti state thou” loop instead of actually doing something. It’s performative, and to let it get in the way of changing something at such a prime time would be a mistake.

Damn vibe coding is real
Writing calls on etf btc for every month we don’t get sbr— not a bad strategy
Makes sense. Matt is right that phoenix handles offline payments pretty well even pre-async payments.
I don’t want to be dragged into any of Roger Ver’s BS, why are you so involved and going around calling me dishonest and a liar? I literally just screenshotted what someone said and said it was silly, and it is.
I’ll update, Fiatjaf told me that yesterday
It would be a shame, nostr is built on owning your voice, your identity, shipping the money part off to shadow custodians so quickly doesn’t feel right
Async receive takes that need away. The payment goes through from the pov of the sender and is held trustlessly at their lsp / wallet provider. When the receiver is available, they sign and receive it. No need to be online at the same time
