Also if you want to be lazy and not self sovereign use github pages https://nvk.org/n00b-nip5
It depends on what relays you are broadcasting to. Sometimes the relays are up or down, sometimes if you're not careful with what client you are using the relays can get scrambled up.
Best way is to Run your own relay so that you can get a copy of of all the posts you are posting and also subscribe to a bunch of other relays.
One way to be a self sovereign nostrich is to run your own relay aggregator. You can do that with @lnbits or you can choose any of the other relays out there that can do the same, but its still early so definitely do your own research and experiment.
Also, not every relay will propagate all the NIPs, they are only required to do NIP-01. So if its a blog long content form, not all relays will propagate necessarily.
Nothing here is set in stone. But I'm gathering that there needs to be more clarify on how this works.
Check out our podcast at Nostrovia.org to learn more as we interview the leading developments in the Nostr space, hosted by yours truly and G.
Would you like me to write a guide for Nostr NIP-5 extension? Can do :)
The message is clear:
** Be a Net Producer or Perish. **
There will be no room for grifters, extractors and rent seeking in this new economy.
Preston Pysh makes a point about economies who do well in Bitcoin.
"Those in Bitcoin who do well are Net Producers, not Net Consumers. ", And its likely true at every level from the nation state down to the sovereign individual
Even Facebook is feeling it, telling their managers to produce or buh bye!
Looks like a spicy project to be #[2] ! Come tell us about it.
LMAO new one every week. Bun for WebSocket chat server (maaaaybe)
this is also quite a smooth threading client -> https://satellite.earth/
LNBits on a $7 vps, w/both nostrclient and nostr-relay extensions. But - they're both kind beta so you might have to pull from main to get it to go. hang out in the https://t.me/lnbits if you have Qs
NIP5 reference for suggested relays https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/05.md
for me the issue seemed to go away when i started running my own aggregate relay.... but that's a good question. there is a way to have suggested relays in NIP-5 i believe but i'm not sure if its being used much
Damn Nostr relay on LNBits is speeding up my experience on iris.to like hotcakes. Now if i can only figure out why it crashes every 12 hrs i'll be good then 😂
it depends on what you're aiming for, i guess. a lot of commercial stuff is built on react and there is more tools, i suppose... but i like vue and dabbled a little with svelte. Curious to know what ideas you might have, i spend lots of time in python, so yea :)
i gag a little when i think of react. but i totes understand 🤣
that's super cute the p2x. hehe what lang do yo like to spend time hanging out in?
i see a .de, do you live in deutchland? I can't imagine snow that deep in April
Its definitely cheaper on the mobile bill and faster than polling all the relays from a mobile app. but, unlike most #plebs i'm 95% desktop and 5% mobile, so i use cheap and low data plans on mobile; if you're into unlimited mobile it might not matter as much.... depending on usage, i guess
Just messing around..... don't take this relay too seriously its still beta testing. But, did you know?
LNBits has a a nostr client and relay built in.
I'm just running LNBits on my $7 vps to reduce mobile data usage. 10-12 relays aggregate themselves onto 1 nostr client, used together with the nostr-relay extension.
This is..... seriously next level

LNBits is the Rockstar of the future
