Digital IDs announced and HSBC and Apple services stop working when using a VPN in the one week šŸ¤”šŸ¤”

Privacy in the UK is under attack.

In one of the first episodes of Blueprint for Armageddon (WW1) Hardcore Histories host Dan Carlin described how nation states used to go to war and often only had a few battles. Once one sides main fighting army was knocked out, the other would surrender with appropriate terms etc.

Industrialisation marked the end of this.

I now wonder will drone swarms end the total war footing states put their citizens on. "My drone swarms have disabled all your drone swarms. Here are my terms for "peace". Otherwise I'll fly my drones into your population centres." Chilling thought, but it may end the current endless wars.

Of course with no human toll, or relatively little, would governments just debase their currencies even more to keep producing drones, even when hopeless, devastating their people anyway.

Writing my annual letter to my kids. Came to the bitcoin section. I wrote:

ā€œThis could sound retarded to you but we’ve __ sats which is a big deal (for us). Right now. Might mean sweet FA in the future. Or worse. Would mean everything but I paper handed it.ā€

Can’t ever fucking sell now.

šŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø have done this before with the Freedom app on pc. Couldn't work out why another app wouldn't work. I'd the limit on it to 0mins. I was deep in the message boards for weeks before I realised what it was šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

But you see you use shampoo which rinses all the nutrients out of your hair. Then you use the conditioner to (allegedly) put all the nutrients back into your hair 🫠

Does anyone know the 4 t/h lottery miner that nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx talked about in the latest RHR? It sounded like ā€œcanonā€?

I couldn’t hear him properly over nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy's coughing.

nostr:npub1uyz4w2w4rcphk0q5arzkutrecgscxwzajj4dkvh9mjyqjtxslm6qea8632 is a savage and I can’t wait for Custodia to win.

1:1 reserve banking. What’s so risky about that? If they were fractional reserve the fed window would be open for Custodia right now!

I still marvel at the concept of nostr:nprofile1qqsryw70hw5qf38vcqddvuwc4kggzh8yty485gyv3qxh8zhyqg0tz4qpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszyrhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekk7mf0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9u9nm47p

When many people know the same private key, they enjoy fully anonymous group DMs and group announcements.

People who know the key can sign and encrypt messages to it, which only the other group members can read, but even they don't know who actually signed the message. It's a refreshing change to not know the identity of a speaker, you focus on the message, not the messenger, and high quality ideas are generally promoted.

Likewise anyone in the group can sign a kind 1 and make public posts to the nostr, where again nobody knows which exact individual signed this message.

This is such a trivial solution, and it's amazing how well it actually works. Yet we can apply zero knowledge cryptography to have more secure access rights while still ensuring anonymity of the participants.

I was tickled when I thought this was an SEC notice board and people could chat shit about Gary Gensler to their coworkers anonymously.

Like nostr slack

Fire the belly.

If you know who created it let me know!

Per nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy I'm trying to stay optimistic, but I can’t shake this uneasy feeling about a potential scenario where our office becomes a target for something we don’t even possess—client seed phrases or hardware wallets.

As a law firm, we offer a range of services, including inheritance planning, and our growing interest in Bitcoin has us spreading the word. However, being a fixed-location business means we could become an attractive target. Even though we don’t hold seed phrases (and will eventually make that very clear with signage), I can’t help but anticipate that an incident might still happen.

It reminds me of Willing’s regret in The Mandibles—wishing he had moved his family out of East Flatbush before the armed eviction. Thanks again nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx ! Sometimes, foresight only takes you so far.

Thought I didn’t follow nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg Calle. Thankfully already did 🫔
