When you comply, they can't get you on anything.
So you can keep building out the alternative, which enables you to defy their power.
Wait, it's not sarcastic?? 🤯

That's the wrong question.
Running a routing node is not a realistic business model, but accepting payments using lightning is through your own node.
Consumers are not the target, businesses are.
Don't be a noob. Learn.
You might be forgetting the fact that a Visa terminal loses money.
The point of a node is ensure that you can receive instant payments without permission.
Run your own node
On nostr we have freeze peach

I commit myself every day to making a better payment system and bitcoin has the greatest potential as an honest payment system.
I saw how people were burned by the policies of custodians at their banks. Policies that were extractive, abusive, and racist. I'd had enough.
Lightning is a sovereign payment system, permissionless, and surveillance-resistant. It's essential for humanity to have a better alternative than credit cards that debase and surveil.
Lightning has incredible promise, but as a decentralized system, requires coordination to operate efficiently. This is at odds with the privacy-first design of lightning. Finding the balance between coordination and opacity is essential to finding Product-Market Fit in payments.
The reality is that we live in a time of exposed payments, like Venmo, where every payment is not only witnessed, but advertised.
We don't need to destroy privacy to have better payments, but we can elect to create transparency for common benefit.

Not a fan of reduced contrast. This would be harder for the visually impaired to use.
