As expected #Bitcoin is experiencing another bearish fakeout pump. The big boys are loading up on shorts before they finally pull the rug. My dollarinos are locked and loaded to buy at #12K.
I think people like this overestimate the importance the Russians attribute to western public opinion. You imagine that that everyone in the Kremlin wakes up in the morning and their first thought is how to bring John from Buttfuckville, AZ and Hans from Bavaria to their side by wooing them into an intricate web of lies an propaganda.
The fact of the matter is that western elites don't care about the opinions of their own electorate. If that would be the case we would live in a radically different world. I think there is even a study about this from an ivy league school.
So, if our own politicians don't care why would a foreign leader care? Hence I've never understood the "Russian disinformation" and "Russian propaganda" narratives. They sure do exist but not at the scale everyone is imagining.
I guess externalising internal contradictions is the easy way out for some people but they quickly forget that their lazyness could drag everyone else into desaster.
If thats the case I'm really surprised by softness of their actions. I would suspect that when enough of them understand the implications they would go FULL STALIN. It's about their survival after all.

Your take is all in all true but you have to be careful not to fall for the everything-is-controlled-anyway demoralisation propaganda. The system is much more chaotic than it presents it self. Buying into such narratives means buying into the self view of the current elites that are drunk with hybris and grandeur. The sad truth: no one is in control. While it is true that there are attempts of creating centralised institutions like the nation state/corporation cartel WEF these attempts look more and more futile. Although some of their interests do overlap their differences are far too big to coordinate any real action. There will always be someone breaking out due to self interest. WW3 will be started due to stupidity and hazardism and not out of calculated evil.
The good news is that we, as individuals, have a choice.

I still don't understand where the demand is supposed to come from other than some minor blips from psychological piggy backing. Institutions aren't interested in anything other than bitcoin leaving everything else on the sidelines.
If anything, shitcoiners may finally realize that they are holding vapour ware and dump it for the real thing. A massacre in shitcoin land is on the table.
