Been buying bitcoin since 2018. I particularly like http://river.com. The Bitcoin White Paper http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf Christ is Lord.

It's not that high, but it's enough that they probably couldn't operate without the US' contribution. 👊

Paper straws are retarded. Executive orders banning them are also retarded.

The US government spends more than $200B on the dept of Education each year. Yet, since 1979, when it was created, reading and math proficiency rates have gotten worse, and we've fallen behind many other countries.

Yet, the DOE still grades individual schools on their reading and math performance as though it is an expert in acadmeic growth. Don't believe me? Look at Domain 3 of Texas' school rating system. Every state has something like it.

Nancy Pelosi says she is there for the children, yet she has watched over a trillion dollars going to bureaucrats that has yielded nothing.

If you're curious about it, take a look at how much Federal Title 1 money went to public schools and then look at the performance of those schools.

Hint: it's terrible. Why? Because they end up teaching to the tests (thank you, Bushes), and teaching to tests isn't education.

Literacy rates were almost even between demographics prior to 1979. Every media outlet reported last week that the picture is now very dire.

Please someone remind me again why we need a DOE.

I have heard Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Someday, I would like to visit it.

Them: Subscriptions aren't grants!

Me: Close your doors. You operate a failed business model.

I swear the European politicians are idiots. They have suggested using NATO to defend Greenland from the US.

NATO is a $3B operation. The US spends $200B on just the US Navy.

The US also provides 16% ($500m) of the NATO budget, which it would immediately withdraw.

On top of it, it is very unlikely that the UK would join a military effort to stop the US.

If the US established a naval blockade between Greenland and Iceland, there is absolutely nothing NATO could do about it.

I guess NATO is done thinking about Ukraine. Putting must not have been the existential threat they all said he was.

This is a great list. None of it is easy. I feel like going into the wilderness for a while and coming out with the resources to begin building the new future. I don't know how long this period we are will last. I've completed the bulk of my bitcoin stacking. If I quit, I will live off my stack for a time. But on the other side of the turning, I will have more work to do.

It lit a fire in me for 10 years, but I have been transferring the coals to others. I may need to tend their fires for a while, but I have done my share in pursuit of our mission. The impact has been real, but to continue it much longer may mean losing precious time for the other things. The issue is that I have made certain commitments and must decide how important those commitments are to me.

Well, that's what the Israelites had to do under Nehemiah. Leave the soft slavery for the wilds of the ruined homeland to rebuild the temple. A sword in one hand and a trowel in the other. It was a hard life, but it was the only way to restore themselves as a people.

In a way, that is our task now. To be salt and light we need to remind the church of what goodness is. Engaging in a system that is built on theft and debt slavery is immoral and the bank of the modern church. It has to break free from its own soft slavery and begin to stand for goodness again, starting with how we trade with one another.

For starters, I have a son with special needs about to start college. I want to help him make the adjustment.

I also live on a large property that needs my attention. We are starting the process of bringing animals on.

My wife and I have been involved in choral music for years (more her than me). She sings regularly in performances at our church and at the concert hall in Dallas. I'd like to spend more time with her on that.

I've written two novels and am working on a third. No publishing deal yet, though. it's really competitive out there.

But the job is also important. I can't get into it or I will dox myself.
