Todos los caminos van a ₿itcoin.

It’s been 3 years since the Legal Tender law, and there’s almost no IRL Bitcoin presence there. I’ve been three times, in ‘21, ‘22, and this year; Sure there are outliers like El Zonte, but the adoption amongst citizens and businesses is worse today than it was in ‘22. Bukele didn’t really give up anything imo, Salvadoran people sort of quiet quit on the legal tender law

Pouring one out for anyone that found themselves in DeepShit today. Bitcoin back to $102k, pays to Stay Calm & HODL On

Doesn’t impact Bitcoin, but the same tech stock bois levered to the tits on Nvidia are probably panic selling across their entire portfolios which include bitcoin… should see it bigly when the etf’s report flows if this keeps up

First golf trip coming up this week (3 days in Tampa), anything I should know before I go?

Solace in the realization that all roads lead to Bitcoin.

A problem with most pets is you outlive them. Dogs, cats, etc.

The problem with parrots is if you don’t plan right, they outlive you.

When I was little, like 9 years old, my main dream was to have parrots. I pushed my father to get them, and he did. And I took great care of them for a decade. I kept their cages open so they could go inside or outside as they pleased. I pet them, played with them, etc.

And then I went to college. My father got a new girlfriend, and they got a cat, which they named fucking Paris Hilton (girlfriend’s idea).

And it was a Bengal cat. An aggressive, energetic type. Paris was actually really cool on her own, but not with the parrots. You have to be careful with cats and parrots standing atop open cages. The parrots are happy to say hi and the cat is happy to play a predator. Can’t have that.

So my father started to lock the parrots in their cages. The macaw became noticeable unhappy first. The amazon was stoic for longer. But I was like “I’m in college, and then I’m going to live in a small apartment, and they can’t stay here or anywhere.”

So I did a ton of research and found them new homes that had the expertise to take care of them. Parrots are often snappy toward people they don’t know, and both of these parrots would bite people other than me. So they needed a lot of resocialization.

I loved them so much, but I would be so careful to advise parrots as pets unless one was *really* equipped to have them.

Here for it 🍿

Not to be an alarmist, but my last two Bitcoin withdrawals from Robinhood to take my brokerage account to zero each failed first try after ~2 hours of waiting. Needed a second attempt in each instance to get the tx through. Maybe it’s nothing, but we all know in this space where there’s smoke it’s at least worth being guarded for the possibility of fire. Harkens back to the analogy of treating exchanges like public bathrooms - come in, do your business, and quickly make your way out.

Last rug cycle we got FTX Sam, Luna Do, BlockFi Zach, Celsius Mashinsky, 3AC Su

This rug cycle… our IRL heroes 😭

Observations from trip to El Salvador this week…

Infrastructure: Drove newly built highways that are on par in quality to America’s, and access beautiful underdeveloped areas that will be legitimate tourist destinations within 10 years. Some of these projects are currently roads to nothing, but the “if you build it, they will come” spirit is definitely there.

Security: Never felt unsafe in two prior trips, but this trip the feeling of public safety was next level. I’d never seen someone out for a jog before in this country, maybe because most areas are an inferno, but also probably b/c security concerns. Runners out after dark all over San Miguel.

Commerce: New restaurants, shopping centers, and accommodations with modern form/function popping up everywhere. New homes also being built throughout the country.

Bitcoin: Nowhere to be found IRL. Zero presence whatsoever. Obvious why Bukele conceded forced currency acceptance in the IMF loan deal, really not giving away much there anyway. Still early. But also, what happened to Bitcoin City in La Union?

Today is Z-Day for me, as in finally took my brokerage account to Zero. 100% sats in cold storage. Living life on a Bitcoin Standard, the only way

True this - I remember feeling like I was in my 50s in late ‘23 (I was 35). Lost 35 lbs in ‘24 and joint problems, inflammation, lethargy all magically disappeared. Did it all by exercise and changing what/how much I eat. Most people simply don’t have the drive/discipline to do this though.
