Testing to use renepay instead of the default pay plugin with CLN v24.08.
Payments got much more reliable with nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9gpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqz8thwden5te0dehhxarj94c82c3wwajkcmr0wfjx2u3wdejhgjaa6xr and nostr:nprofile1qqs8u5uf0rd2p9wmdxxaznpn54tkq8wwspmljy0cjqw6jdgm5kv84dspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mq20qgpe
Might make it an option in the #Raspiblitz: https://github.com/raspiblitz/raspiblitz/issues/4777
You can just download a small translator plugin to try.
Let me know if it is useful.
Can confirm this works great.
renepay is much better method for paying with a CLN node. Being able to use it on the go with nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9gpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzyrhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekxzmnyqyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueq555fk2 or nostr:nprofile1qqs8u5uf0rd2p9wmdxxaznpn54tkq8wwspmljy0cjqw6jdgm5kv84dspw9mhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0dec82c338pmn2mfndcmxxur3x3shsmrgwee8q735ddnrgmt3df4rsdm2x4mhxerywee8yu3hx4envemkw4k8w7nrxdengdfcwuerw0mzwfhkzerrv9ehg0t5wf6k2fn8d3hkyctv84skcmq4f0ce8 is a huge step up. π nostr:nprofile1qqs24sraj5yfee4d7z9ez4k58sdy4dv5ccfsklwtztkpnyqgckqe5tcpg3mhxw309ann2enhw94hvdejd4sksmnsxaexjm3nwasnwv3kw9h85dtcdek85cmexcmnvetsw4h8weth0pjxjvmkd33kxc3jv9jzummwd9hkutcpg3mhxw309umkzafndyexwe3nddnhsum9wdhkuvmzw95hg7nexvervcnfdahkgmfhxf6kvv35vfaxwdthwdh8wut8de6x5um8d9jzummwd9hkutcpg3mhxw309uehyuredd6hwensva4xj6ned56r2umkvda8v7nsvf6hydn5xeurgc3kxakxuansxemhserjv5exxut00ymxzdry09jzummwd9hkutchpc0zh
NEW EPISODE DROPPED...
Fed up of the government debasing your money or algorithms manipulating your social feed. I discuss freedom technologies such as Nostr and Bitcoin with Ben Arc.

Nice 80s action movie poster π
Have to watch/listen
Good that I can't read this clickbait note due to this fabulous nostr wot ...
Few.

Honestly? No.
AlbyHub/NWC , or even phoenixd solves 99% of the use cases i would have for e-cash. Very little i would even need eCash for, let alone considering the custody tradeoffs
The downside of WoT (web of trust) relays:

Hey is it technically possible to have zaps to BOLT12 offers?

This is cool.
Although I doubt regular Joes can compete with Boltz in terms of fee, since they don't have a Liquid peg out key.
They are dependent on (and pay their fees) PAK holders such as Side swap, Bitfinex or Boltz to rebalance BTC and L-BTC
I hear you. But It is one thing to trust the binaries (apk) represent the published code on GitHub;
at least there are people like nostr:nprofile1qqsydl97xpj74udw0qg5vkfyujyjxd3l706jd0t0w0turp93d0vvungppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9ekh2arfdeuhwctvd3jhgtnrdakj70vc385 who check the builds for us.
Yet not even having the v0.2.3 and v0.2.4 code on GitHub, while binaries of these versions are being distributed via app stores for quite some time.... is pretty meh.
At the very least, unprofessional.
And yes, everybody should install from GitHub/Obtainium π
PS: I wished more projects publish Dockerfiles for builds, so regular normies can build themselves. The Build process is oftentimes so poorly documented, and/or requires manual steps that it's just a pain in the ass to build apks yourself, so ppl just trust whatever is published.
Yes, they quickly added it yesterday.
It's still weird (some would say suspicious) that they produced two builds/apks locally, without even pushing the commits to GH.
And then uploaded the apks to Google Play.
Discussed here:
This used to be such common knowledge that it didn't even have to be mentioned any more.

You are distributing a v0.2.3 on Google Play, whose source code cannot be found in your repo.
The latest code in GitHub is over a month old, and it's at v0.2.1
Yes. But you are still not fully immune to force closes; these are part of the LN network and if your channel wants to FC on you, they can - no matter which node you have.
But the recommended channel peers in AlbyHub tend to be pretty good in that regard.
Hmm, when I bring up a new AlbyHub v1.8 it still asks me to connect my Alby account during the onboarding to get the Authorization code..
(and yes, I tried deleting ~/.local/share/albyhub)
Thanks. I wasn't familiar with that term (and what it means in practice.)
I already use filter.nostr.wine ..i guess that should do .
AlbyHub does support several backends (LND, CLN, BreezSDK, Greenlight, Cashu etc) - but it also come with its own embedded node (using LDK), which is the easiest nntaleb way to start for fresh users. Just deposit on-chain funds, press Open channel and off you go. Or alternatively, purchase an incoming channel from an LSP
It's the go-to way to self host, hand down. π
Once they remove the requirement to have a getalby account, it'll be truly self sovereign.
What is a WoT relay, and how do I set it in Amethyst?
