I really like my jade.

could you explain why also?

Open source software AND hardware. Simple. Good form factor. Relatively Cheap. Intuitive hardware switches.

Airgapped and firmware exists to disable Bluetooth entirely.

Besides the things already mentioned, self-custodial LBTC. I don’t know of any other hardware wallet that can be paired with iOS and Android via Bluetooth. Blockstream’s Green Wallet works really well for this. The Windows app is also very simple, and so far, I haven’t found anything I don’t like. You never know which phone you’ll have in the future, and I think wireless mobile use is great in case you ever need it, without the seed phrase being online. Otherwise, you can just add a watch-only wallet to receive Bitcoin.

Yes, all these things are also why I like my jade.

You forgot to include the part where you destructively decap and image the chip to make sure it matches the HDL, which you can’t.

It doesn’t work very well for smaller details.

Have 23 kids and name them a word each LoL 😁

Seedsigner is my favourite by far.

That is not a hardware wallet (which I classify as anything that can store a seed persistently) but a signing device

Still, I use it a lot, and it’s great

Yeah. Most usually don't differentiate between HWW and a signing device. But I prefer the way a signing device is stateless, so the ability to create multiple seeds.

Guess you are the poster with same username on TG SS community.

Whatever one you personally will actually use. Any reputable hardware wallet is WAY better than none 👍🏻

I tried many but don't have an absolute favorite. Bitbox maybe is the one I would trust the most and with maximum functionalities (especially for multisign). Not a huge fan of how you must unlock it but you are not suppose to use it daily I guess. Also I'm not sure I would trust seed backup on SD only, maybe a paper or metal seed as second backup would bring me more peace of mind if I had to use it for large amount.

A signing device, like Specter DIY is also cool and has interesting options too.

Finally in some cases you might not even need one, an USB flash with tails might also do the job if you use it properly.

Most important in any case is the backups management. Make sure you triple check everything and play out what would happen in all possible scenario that are more or less likley to happen to your situation.

I have found Border wallets way better for security and now way to $5 wrench me. If pressed I would embed an NFC key in an innocuous item as a multisig layer.
