I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

Aside from the values you mentioned cashu got, the specific value Karnage, I'd imagine, is pointing out is that you don't need to know someone's zap address to send sats, you just need to know their nostr address which is already there / more immediate than their address (if they have one that is).

What does this mean?

When bring a friend over to nostr, or already have friends on here but on different clients, you'd sometimes poke them to make a zap address so you'd send them sats, depending on the client. So what happens is "hey do this, then do that, then.." etc, or reply on specific clients to have their zap address made and the sender dealing with 2 address to send money.

With cashu on nostr, as a send, you'd just need their nostr address and that's it. On the receiver end, assuming there'd be a nostr client that implemented all the 3 wallets and transfer system in a nice UX way that Karnage mentions, wouldn't have to do anything and just see that they've received money.

Worked hard on a self-imposed redesign of a nostr project to propose and present to team.

It went successful, they liked it! (Nice =3).

Discussions had, started to learn new thing to collaborate.

Too much for my brain, but managed what I can.

Started to migrated what I already made into new thing so others can work on.

Almost done (excited!).

Work calls. They accepted client to deliver project yesterday.

Passion work had to be paused (dammit!).

I think the worst of workload passed, I think.. so hopefully will go back to passionate nostr project with great peeps soon (nice =3)

How about:

"Register an account" = "Obtain an address"

"Sign-in" = "Connect your address"

"Obtain"/"Generate"

"Connect"

In a funny sense: Say naughty words.

In a serious but still funny sense: Leak docs and talk about it.

Speaking of hacking...

It finally happened, I got hacked x3

It seems like it was destined to happen today and at the time it happened, as I was very tired and 'bleh' at that time, so I was mentally vulnerable, and the person was decent / kinda did their quick research (or dumb random guess).

From the looks of it, they got the saved accounts info from my browsers. So spent my time reseting email passwords and accounts and informing peepes just in case.

I wonder if they got this nostr account's nsec from the Alby extension or Satcom extension. 🤔

Used paid Kaspersky full scan to clean the PC. Hopefully that'll be enought to remove the Trojan/anything else.

Not bumbed out or anything, just annoyed that I've wasted my remaining day reseting everything and waiting on my PC to get cleaned.

But hey, the silver lining about this is that I now have direct experience with this so that it won't happened again =3

Back to nostr though, I hope the (something like) xpub and address pair trees gets developed and released soon, alongside a failsafe mechanism, so that I can properly secure my nostr account and announce a new address here.

Yarr! Yesterday was demo day here at SEC-01 and I presented my proposal for identity management in nostr. In it I introduce some new concepts for identity management such as secure identities and simple identities, master keypair and subkeys (this will allow cold storage).

This was a research exercise in which I studied the previous proposals that have been presented and how gpg (a battle-tested protocol) achieves its robustness. I've based it mainly on nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft proposal, extending it and trying to take the best of all of them and make something that makes sense for nostr, prioritising simplicity and backwards compatibility.

Please take a moment to read the proposal and share your ideas/criticism, this is something super important for nostr as having a more robust identity system will better preserve the value that content creators, companies and users in general can create and ultimately have a richer and more valuable network where everyone can maintain the value, reputation and web of trust that it creates.

Nice! Discussions are now happening between devs about Master #nostr addresses and slave/sub addresses, as well as a 'plab b' for if your keypair gets leaked =3

From what I've read, the experience is pretty much what I wanted when I wrote about it:

Reading up on all these replies, it seems like nsecbunker (and OAuth) must be run self-custodially via personal home server (ex: Umbrel).

I played it for a bit, its aight. looks great, but gameplay is stiff.
