(I think the issue is the wrapped messages thing on Amethyst, the hat with glasses icon next to the input/message field, turning that off should send messages normally?)
If this issue continues, we could dm on discord or whatever else for the time being).
Decided to invest more in this and not stop the momentum.
After considering everything (industry, market, problems, opportunities, etc), I realized that this just needs a bit more of a push from me, as I risk a small hit, to achieve some great results and capture the obvious opportunities to benefit the gaming scene and nostr.
We're moving forward lads, and we ain't stoppin.

I mean, on Primal the change isn't visible, so there's some regrets! x3
Oh? Amethyst allows you to edit a post? They're now replaceable events? Nice.
All good. Sure making sure on the connect 👍
nostr:nprofile1qqsdaw38re28weaadk8wca0weetptke30gpmql69jy6tq0njxcq9v4gpzamhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuegpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wsxwrwx2 Oh, just in case DMs aren't working (because it happened before), I replied back (on Amethyst) a few minutes after I saw yours. If you didn't receive it, I'll send it again on a different client.
Not sure why clients don't add this since a bunch of people use it, and its already in nostr as its own client, but IMO it should be in all clients, which is a linktree popup.
Will add it to DEG Mods at some point. Click this and a popup with a user's link will appear.

Are these server costs that low??
50 gb one time payment of $2.5 for 43 years of storage space and hosting??
Am I reading this wrong? I'm very confused..

Perhaps is a good practice to (perish the thought i know) think of ways of how #nostr can be consumed by legacy media like current social media has.
Let's play the masterminds role to try and take over nostr.
Now, how can we prevent that?
I'm one and a half. A designer that knows html/css and code logic but not code language.
To be honest, its just difficult, considering that you also need to know business and marketing too, and and and to make things properly take off.
I know those too because I took a decision early on (for myself):
Learn everything or learn coding.
I chose everything.
Seems like Elon is still a bitch for the advertisers and the government, despite his claims / flipping them off.
Thank code for #nostr
I'm in third that's running towards fourth x3
It's pretty awesome, because it's built on #nostr , that even if someone or entity takes down the nostr:nprofile1qqs0f0clkkagh6pe7ux8xvtn8ccf77qgy2e3ra37q8uaez4mks5034gpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfnj7qg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9u7whuha domain, repo, and/or literally end me today, anyone can get the code, run it on their PC locally, and still have access to published game mods and continue to publish new ones, as well as zap each other on it.
Anyone can even continue developing it and add more features/systems to it, and put it up on a different domain too if they want.
Nostr is Pandora's box unsealed, and projects built on top of it, which includes DEG Mods, are sub-pandora boxes, that can never be closed again.
Freedom mods to the moon! 🚀🚀🚀
(Just in case anyone reading this and is lazy to read up on the project: this is not crypto, chill and enjoy game mods being free 🤣)
Thanks =3
The core functions of the project is working and live (Nostr login, publishing game mod posts, viewing the posts, and viewing a list of published game mods). That's why I submitted the project today.
More features/systems, as well as replacing those placeholders, will be added over time.
To answer your questions...
# # Gist answer
Video game mods and their creators are being censored and banned on mainstream hosting and discovery platforms, as a result, DEG Mods, being built on Nostr, solve this issue by not being able to censor or ban mods and mod creators.
# # Normal answer
# # # Here's what generally happens in the video games market:
1. A video game gets released.
2. Some people with some dev skills modify the game, packages it, and shares it with the public so that they can download and install said modifications to enjoy the game in this modified state.
So we have game mod creators and game mods.
# # # Here's the issue that promoted the creation of DEG Mods:
1. When a mod creator wants to share their creation, they'd create an account on main-stream game mod hosting sites, then upload their game mod there so that others can discover it and download it.
2. Some of these mods get taken down by these mod discovery hosting sites, and ban the account of its creator, because of ideological reasons. Both parties, the mod creator and its consumers (gamers) are pissed.
3. Some potential solution sites were developed, but they were still built on top of centralized systems and still controlled with a small group of entities, with the potential of pushing their own ideological control.
4. DEG Mods came to solve all of these censorship issues by being built on top of Nostr. As a result, even I as the project's creator cannot take down a published game mod page nor 'ban' its creator, where I can only hide it from the site, yet it still can be accessible on it, and on other future forks of the project that may get released.
5. Considering that it's a Nostr project, even if a threat comes over and takes down the project (takes over the domain, repo, etc), so long as someone has a copy of the code, they can run the project locally and/or upload it to a different domain.
6. The extra benefits include:
6.1. Never losing the connection between mod creator and mod enjoyed (following each other).
6.2. Direct financial transfer between mod creator and mod enjoyers (Zaps)
7. DEG Mods doesn't host the video game mod files. Its creator uploads it wherever they want and they'd share the download link in the mod page/post in the appropriate field. In case the file gets deleted/censored, they'd simply upload it elsewhere and edit the published post with the new link. In the future, Blossom servers and/or better file-hosting solutions will be provided as an option.
That's about it for now (if you've read til here, thanks for reading!).
It's out! =3
What's in this very-tight first release:
#nostr login + game mod publishing/viewing + zaps
So these are the core functions of the project delivered and released. Read up on the post for all the details.
Super special thanks to nostr:npub1wmwn9uckrxuwxh5lxtsp2gjtvvaqm79734tp8sjm3qu2xuzqw6vq30ny4j , who at this point is a foundational MVP of DEG Mods.
Thanks nostr:npub1yay8e9sqk94jfgdlkpgeelj2t5ddsj2eu0xwt4kh4xw5ses2rauqnstrdv for co-developing this with me.
It's a rough start, so send over feedback/bug reports. Check it out:
This is just the beginning =3
