I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

I feel like that mid part would benefit from more clarification, but aye based x3

(kind of wild to see, but definitely needed and hopefully we'd see more people in the region realize nostr's power. Let's hope we'll see something like 'Nostrarab' events, like nostrasia, at some point (was going to do meetups and build up towards that kind of event, but multiple life events happened and couldn't do it) )

I kind of used to watch Captain Tsubasa as a kid, and haven't really watched anything football related stuff ever since (and i'm not a football person either an don't watch that stuff usually).

However, Blue Lock is fucking awesome! XD

I think the concept of just raw Value-for-Value, on its own, with no paywall upfront to gate something of value, can't be relied on for making a living out of it, but can be relied on as a showcase of good will from people every now and then, or as close as always but with negligible amounts.

People should change their perspective on it and think back to old fashioned "I'm selling this value product for this value amount".

Let's call what people have been trying to push in the first part Free V4V, and the old fashioned way Priced V4V, both under the umbrella of V4V.

Examples of a health combo where one markets the other and the other funds the first:

1. A 2 hour podcast is free free, where the extended version that has another 30 minutes of content is behind a paywall or subscription.

2. The first chapter of a video game is free, and to play the rest you'd have to buy the game.

3. Streaming: You're watching and commenting for free, but if you want your comment to be more prominent and have a better chance of capturing the attention of the host, that's when you pay up.

Even when it was being pushed as a main FV4V with Zaps on Nostr, it was actually PV4V where zaps were making your profile more prominent on a post and you could advertise whatever you want as a bonus with an associated comment.

If you want to have a higher chance of success, don't think of just giving away stuff for free, put your perceived value on it, or part of it, and people who see its value will conduct with you a V4V transaction, otherwise it's just Value for Free (you know, I think that's a better term, V4V is fully or partially priced product, V4F is just free shit with the hopes of being compensated (when most of the time you won't).

Get VC money and go to Silicon Valley events to drink wine and get cozy with the people there as you get and give favors?

I'm thinking CN with WoT and an action on clients where someone can report with an option to include the CN that the user sees.

> Woke up

> Press power button on laptop

> Nothing

> Tried fixing. Nothing

> Most likely motherboard dead

> Sad. It's a 3070 too so stil very usable

> Bad time to spend, but got new laptop

> Might be blessing in disguise though, considering current life situation, so might not be so bad

Me watching ep 7 of Dandadan

I wonder if it can be pay what you want, but there's only one button "purchase" and the price above or next to it is a field with a default value of $5 (that can be changed to a zero). No sliders or up/down, just a number text field.

I wonder if people would just click buy without changing it, or take the effort to change it before hitting purchase.
