I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

I don't have any more details.

Again very grateful for the grant I received last year which allowed me to build all this so far.

It's a tough one to swallow, not gonna lie. I will take a few weeks to think about the future of the project.

???

Oh well, time to think of turning this into a proper business. Subs, featured ad app spots, etc.

X/Twitter is doing what I thought of in regards to editing an already published post:

The original post is still there, but is now attatched/connect to the new/corrected one, with the old having visual adjustments applied to it (along with a note) to tell the user that this has been discarded and they should check the new one.

In essense: An edit isn't modifying the original post, but creating a new one that binding/chaining them together.

This solves relays having a headache of a time managing short posts, solves deception, kind of solves relays having different info, and half-solves the user wanting to correct their post.

This is the way.

Unless it's triggered by being pissed off at current product x3

But ya, I get that, some people face that issue and don't actually make the thing, but, others do that and it gets them motivated in a sense of "well, I don't want to be a BSer and not follow through what I said I will do". I've seen both.

For me, it doesn't matter which, where my biggest motivation in this regard (passing a potential bump) is either wanting to learn, getting pissed, or being super passionate/excited (best one if all 4 are there).

Aye. Just wished they didn't say they'd show gameplay when they didn't =P

Won't think they deceived or lied. Will give them the benefit of the doubt and think they just made a small incompetent mistake. Hopefully they won't do it again.

I tuned in to see The Blood Of Dawnwalker livestream where it was mentioned they'll show gameplay. It's the first game from Rebel Wolves, led by members (directors/leads, etc) who worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

In the live stream, they say:

"make sure you stick around all the way through, because we also have a very brief, but very real, gameplay teaser as well"

Cool, they'll actually show gameplay.

I watched it until the end, and they showed in-engine footage. They did not show any gameplay but rather told people they'd show gameplay "this summer."

I see studios are still doing this garbage in [current year] where it's either a miscommunication at best or a straight-up lie/deception at worst. I'm tired.

It's not hard for them to say "We'll be showing in-engine footage, with a later date to show proper gameplay."

*sigh

Anyway, the theme and idea sound great, and the music sounds great too. Hopefully, the gameplay will be nice as well.

Work on the character sheet for Moda has begun.

ETA: 2-4 weeks.

Aye. I mean I'll have a video guide up (with voice) and continue to, over time, better enhance this process, but so far it's either a browser extension or remote app signer in terms of convenience and security. Nothing yet got developed that's better than that.

And yea, I don't have data on how many "registered" or logging in, but mods are being posted, comments and reactions are happening.

And yea, that's what I'm thinking as well and what I've been communicating to people, basically learn this new thing and use it (like how most people have with anything new from phones instead of letters, credit card instead of cash, email instead of letters, etc).

That above response are for normies, and for people who hate mod sites that censor, the response is something like "if we've made this easy, then we'd become the very thing you hate and are trying to avoid" and that's usually convincing (I'd hope =P).

And yea, it won't halt it, people REALLY hate what's available / normal gated mod sites right now x3

Wait, i think I'm referencing the wrong thing. Forgot what it's called, but basically: to generate a nostr address by inputting a username and password (and maybe a secondary password) and that'd be that.

And ya, that's a huge security risk since there's no 'reset password' or 'i forgot my password' process =P

Thing is. It is possible, and even easier than traditional email and password too, how? "Mind Wallet" but you know people will lose their accounts or get it leaked that way =P

I'd probably do the same on my end, doesn't necessarily mean the process itself is renamed🤘

Been delaying adding a proper reply system, but once added, looking forward to see what people think if it (don't like those infinite lines that most app use x3)

Past few days (and probably the next few days as well) was a lot of work in regards to marketing/managing nostr:nprofile1qqs0f0clkkagh6pe7ux8xvtn8ccf77qgy2e3ra37q8uaez4mks5034gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9uvmc9v7 , my eyes hurt x3

Gotta take on those opportunities when they appear.

But also, yes, again, the biggest issue/friction for Nostr is definitely the login/registration.

nostr:nprofile1qqs827g8dkd07zjvlhh60csytujgd3l9mz7x807xk3fewge7rwlukxgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7auvdel now that browsers and PC clients are adding Amber login via QR, one UX issue present is the process of reconnecting/relogging-in.

With that said, are there plans to add a method to 'reconnect'? Currently, scanning a QR again leads to a new connection entry in Amber every time.

Example scenario:

1. Login with QR on a nostr site with Amber.

2. Logout on/from the site.

3. Repeat 1. Result: Amber now has two connection entries for the same site.
