Yeah and they were so ludicrously misled. Like you say, the president doesn't have the power to change it. Additionally, the Supreme Court only denied the guarantee of protecting that right in all states. It did not ban abortion and would not, under the guidance of Thomas Clarence at least. This is something very much lost on the propagandized public. Harris's official platform only said that she would never impose a ban and would reinstate Roe vs. Wade if given the chance, which would not happen whether it was her or Trump, anyway.
Nostr already has zaps, invoices, etc. and a host of awesome social media features, and a UX that keeps getting better. We primarily just need more people to hop over, and that will happen over time, especially as UX gets easier and higher quality and as we introduce friends to the platform.
What nostr might need in addition to that is a patreon- or onlyfans- or subscribestar-like locked content note that you pay sats to access, to help monetize things and drive efficient pricing and such. Posters would not need to put everything behind a paywall, and each individual could tailor a strategy to their unique community.
Perhaps we could also incorporate an advertisement NIP that allows users to turn on or off ads, ads that creators would choose to incorporate into their notes. These would be completely optional and individually selected, rather than chosen by a spy corporation trying to pry on us. This might or might not be the best idea.
