Good fiction:

Complex characters, deep world building, characters struggle, genuinely hateable villain, a good ending (hard)

Bad fiction:

Shallow world, tied to real products or times which make suspending disbelief hard, characters overcome challenges without difficulty, ham-fisted political bent, abrupt or anticlimactic ending.

Yes I was surprised as well! Gonna enjoy it on Saturday morning when I don't have to race out the door to work. Maybe I'll make one of those coffee 🌽 videos with some lofi music behind it so everyone can watch me grind.

Claim some BCH and then maybe some BSV? Bitcoin diamond?

Good idea! I did a similar thing with milk crates for a hinged lid on a kayak fishing crate.

I can't take credit for the idea but it made so much sense when I saw it.

New brooder build in anticipation for new chicks in a couple of weeks. Start with a 50gallon tub. We're gonna cut a section out of the top and then cover that opening in chicken wire.

Mark out how large you want your opening to be. I just made use of the existing lines on t he lid.

Next cut this out. I've seen people drill holes at the corners and then run a jigsaw around but I don't particularly care for the smell of of hot blades melting plastic so I just took my time with a box cutter.

Alright next cut a section of chicken wire / hardware cloth big enough to cover the opening with padding over each side. You're going to drill holes and attach the chicken wire to the lid with zip ties. At first I thought I'd drill all the holes and then attach but when I got about halfway through I realized that my chicken wire pattern didn't work well for that. So I started drilling and attaching as I moved around the lid.

On one

Raising #chickens isn't all fun and fluffy birds and nearly free eggs. One of ours recently got out and got torn up bad enough that I had to finish the job so she wouldn't suffer. First time I've had to do that. Pretty hard on the kids too since we don't have that many birds. It's a good lesson, circle of life and all that, but not fun. But new chicks will be in soon so we get to start again which is kinda nice.
