After listening to yet another podcast with nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe, this time with Saifedean in The Bitcoin Standard podcast, I’ve decided to challenge myself with a NOSTR challenge.
Yes, my (potential) clients are on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, but I want to change that. Moreover, I see myself as someone who can drive change—after all, it’s partly due to my commercial and interpersonal skills that I’ve become the successful professional I am today.
Conclusion: I’m going to deliver value on NOSTR every day for a year. I’ll also document this journey on other channels so that people can follow along, even if they’re not on NOSTR yet.
The themes?
Simple—topics I’m good at:
- raising awareness about financial sovereignty & Bitcoin
- the importance of privacy
- traveling the world with your family
- earning location-independent income.

I completely agree with you. In this case, for me, it’s another one of those “lower your time preference” situations because eventually, a large amount of value will indeed flow here, and I will be the one who got in “early” if I deliver value well and consistently.

Every time after I listen to nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe on a podcast, I try to spend extra time on NOSTR purely because of his advice: “If you keep putting your time and energy into that other system, even if you’re kind of arguing against it, you’re still making it stronger.”
Well, if I remain primarily active on Twitter and LinkedIn, I’m guilty of that.
Challenge? My clients are mostly there, so I’m more or less forced to produce content there (too).
How do you all deal with this?

Deliberately in Dutch since there is already so much high quality content in English and we feel that most Dutchies still prefer Dutch content..
This way we have more change to orange pill some newcomers 👏🏼👏🏼
My personal journey from “I buy Bitcoin to become fiat-rich” to “I save & spend in Bitcoin to help a new financial system succeed” has been long but very interesting.
Now that I run 2 full nodes and know how to open my own Lightning channel, I begin to understand how free it has made me.
This feeling helps me become a better Bitcoin educator whereas 2 years ago I already thought I knew a lot.
Well, I guess not.
Funny how, every time, you simply don’t know what you don’t know and believe you already know a lot once you’ve barely start studying a new topic (mount stupid is real).
It’s beautiful how one thing leads to another and how you realize that you shouldn’t rush the process but simply experience it consciously. Everything happens exactly as it should 👏🏼
Strange how one day you can feel like everything is already set in motion and it could ignite at any moment, while the next moment it feels like we've barely made any progress and it will take another 10 years for people to realize it.

Was at Adopting #Bitcoin in Arnhem today.
Always fun to be amongst other Bitcoiners. Some interesting speakers & discussions so a good next step.
That said, lots of steps still need to be taking. Especially here in the Netherlands.
We can use some more energy & optimism if one were to ask me.
