Because it is now possibly through cash app and other means to transfer cash to BTC almost instantly, the price of BTC doesn’t impact your ability to move fiat from place to place, so long as the move happens in a window that allows for that rate to remain the same.
Not the fiat movement is bitcoin’s end goal, fiat movement will be (is becoming) a primary function on its way to adoption, if the rate for the initial exchange to BTC and final exchange to USD could be locked in, for the duration of the transaction bitcoin would be more functional to the masses immediately.

Yes, check my relay count. High relay counts will not effect performance in the long term. Already options are available so that clients (ahem, #damus #iris.io) filter the global by using select relays, but you leave the connection to all others you have as valid. I have some followers that I only see on one obscure relay. I have that connection because I by chance met the person, and added all the relays, so that now when they have only one relay connected I can still see them.
By having a large amount of relay connections, the account becomes a kind of human relay by sharing content across new borders in the network. In the case of the Chinese avoiding censorship, by making and joining many many relays (and properly managing them on the client side) an effective log of the communication is kept. Which is the most important thing, that the content created is not destroyed. By the time either you or I have seen the note, it's too late for censorship. It's part of the public record.
This line of thought further strengthens the link between the cost of #energy and the value of #bitcoin. One #sat is worth the cost of the electricity used to produce it.

We need to encourage the use of zaps and ln wallets at farmers markets and food halls/food truck. Grass roots adoption. Bitcoin only events where items are for sell.
Bitcoin 2023 should be ready to deal in sats.
There is a subtle difference between not knowing, and being unable to know.
⚡️⚡️companies you may have moral issues with will be using BTC. BTC companies need to make sure the ethical/reputable/respectable business keep the proper image to stand apart from the rest.
But as was mentioned, the #shitcoins have already been advertising with celebrities and the Super Bowl. That’s a high bar to cross.
Scammers going to scam. If BTC is valuable they are going to scam on BTC. While the community does need to address scammers correctly and ethically, the gravitation of scammers toward BTC is a sign of the strength of BTC
