My fiat rant…

We have accepted @PayPal on our website for over 10 years (maybe longer?) without any issues. The site is hosted by @GoDaddy. Starting 10/31 all PayPal payments were stuck in “pending”. Tracking information was not showing up correctly and I couldn’t manually update anything. PayPal blamed GoDaddy and GoDaddy blamed PayPal.

Last week PayPal RETURNED all pending payments to the customer 😣. So even though everyone received their orders and all tracking information was entered correctly on GoDaddy, all PayPal payments made during our busiest time of year were RETURNED.

I’ve spent endless hours with customer service on both ends. They blame each other and even placed blame on USPS at some point. PayPal told me to reach out to everyone and ask them to resubmit payment 😫. Thanks to the nice lady who mailed a check the other day lol 🥳

I removed PayPal as a payment option and I’m moving the website to another platform.

Shocker…I’ve never had an issue with a bitcoin payment

Birds are done for morning. Will take out some more water this afternoon prolly some scratch too. Chickens hate the snow... Ducks, goose and turkeys don't mind it. BTW the cat litter buckets are awesome for carrying water... They are skinnier than a bucket. Always carry 2 for balance. Lol

Nostr Dev Question:

When serializing an event to generate the hash ID, how should tags be ordered?

I cannot find anything under NIP-01 for this.

Currently, I am storing metadata external to the event to keep track of the tag order respective of how it was received, but that doesn't seem optimal.

Is there a recommended standard? Maybe alphabetical based on the UTF8 serialized strings of each tag? Although, that is certainly less optimal since that would require individual serialization of each tag plus a string compare sort.

We don't do centralized exchanges or ETFs.
