To be fair, my router runs BSD, I have several Ubuntu machine, a Mac to get actual work done and a Windows machine for Bitcoin Core occasional testing.

And yes, Linux people look at Mac users they way Mac users look at Windows users.

If you’ve never tried #homemining, I highly suggest it. Puzzle solving and constant learning. Man, after hours trying to troubleshoot I’m finally back hashing!

For a non-tech guy it was definitely a learning experience figuring out what static IPs, DHCP, etc are and how to work through issues to get back set up and hashing.

Pretty stoked and you feel like those few little sweat-sats are that much more precious. And a room is nice and toasty again.

My brother and I are continuing the tradition of getting shaves the day before Thanksgiving, which we used to do with our father. First one without him, but I’m pretty sure he’s here with us and communicating via the barber shop playlist. Love ya, dad.

Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, b-complex pills... though those never seem to have enough in them, when I can I'm gonna get a big jar of hard to find pure B1. I'm not sure if yeast extract is a good source? That would be a bit easier to get hold of.

Part of the problem is that B1's most readily available only as an additive in mainly wheat flour based products, which I have never eaten much of, and explains how I ended up in this pickle, piling a litre of beer a day on top of it, which is well known to burn B vitamins in general.

I don't know what else is involved but Wernicke-Korsakoff's main cause is B1 deficiency, and the fact I am getting fairly chronic double vision says that I've probably already got a thinning of hippocampus tissue already starting too. I certainly am noticing more and more how my memory is fucked. It is fortunate that I am getting a severe symptom that directly interferes with my ability to work otherwise I might keep on going until I forget how to write code otherwise.

This morning for a change I wake up and I am already able to focus on normal sized text, with a tiny bit of effort, no double vision, just a bit blurry. I wonder how much longer until the B1 deficiency damage is recovered. Not too long I hope, maybe I get fully functional vision back for christmas xD
