Thx! Artificial sinew. Ive tried using backstrap sinew but it is difficult to work with. I will likely only wear these in dry warm conditions. Buckskin is not waterproof at all.
Another project halfway done. Apache style moccasins using proof of work braintan buckskin. I havent decided how im going keep the high top sides closed; either lacing or velcro. Velcro is unconventional, although it might make a better fit. Or maybe a button? Anyway, i still have to make to 2nd one...
Amazing how my hands just get destroyed by handling soil at this time of year. A few months into the season and my hands seem to be resistent to damage. Happens every year
