Just saw my weekly buy processed this morning.

I need to send ernest money for a real estate purchase. My options are:
1) Set up an appointment at the bank to send a wire. This comes with a $30 fee and about an hour of my time (at a time that is convenient for the bank).
2) Use the “high tech”, “innovative” option where I download an app that will effectively let me remote deposit a check into the escrow account. Only problem here is I haven’t written a check in years and don’t have a checkbook for the account.
Does anyone know a better way to move money…?

This is true. It’s known as the “denominator effect”.
This was also seen in the last ~6 months in the real estate markets as funds became over-concentrated in RE after equities fell over the last year

It’s unreal the incentives that Zaps drive.
The act of someone zapping real value (even if less that 1 penny USD) sends a signal unparalleled in any social network to date.
Makes me want to provide more and more insight and value to this community.
I find myself refreshing my Nostr feed in anticipation of new posts.
Sometimes I check back an hour later to nothing new.
At first I interpreted this as a downside to Nostr vs. Twitter.
Then I realized I’ve been conditioned by the Twitter algo to seek the dopamine hit of new updates even though they’re mostly just noise.
Nostr is the signal to Twitter’s noise and I feel like my dopamine receptors are now in recovery.
I see people zapping 21 sats around non-stop.
Today, this is far less than 1 penny.
In about 100 years (~2120), this will be roughly equivalent to the block reward.
21 sats today = 10 minutes of the world’s hashing expenses in 100 years.
Mind blowing.
I have been fascinated with the exponentiality of the halving schedule lately.
Crazy fact for the day:
Just 2.5 total bitcoin will be mined in the final 40 years of BTC’s mining schedule (2100-2140).
40 years of PoW will be rewarded with a total of 2.5 BTC…

What is the best way to search for new pages in nostr?
The only way I have success with the search is if I manually paste someone’s npub.
I’ve even tried very generic words like “car” and get nothing.
