Direct realist, individualist, libertarian, dove. Trying to overcome my biases.

“[U]nlike other animals, humans have norms against overt dominance and submission, and norms promoting pro-social behavior, that helps others. So we do push to dominate, but we pretend that we are actually just trying to help. And as usual, we are typically not consciously aware of our hypocrisy. In our mind, we are mainly aware of how they are doing the wrong things, and how they would be so much better off if only we could make them do things our way.”

I like to run, but I supplement that with strength and mobility training.

If you mean David Weigel, he was suspended for a month, but kept his job at the Washington Post. (He has since left.) However, his colleague, Felicia Sonmez, was fired for intemperately criticizing him on Twitter.

A right to free speech on someone else’s property? I doubt there’s a case that Twitter is defrauding users, since they reserve the right to limit the reach of tweets in their terms of service. But if they are violating a contract, the proper remedy is a lawsuit, not for Congress to pass a law to restrict their moderation policies.

I don’t like the idea of government control over moderation policies. No one has to use Twitter/X, and anyone is free to compete.

Me neither, aside from crypto spam (but it’s nowhere near 90% of what I see). I wonder if that’s coming from a particular relay.

Yes, but spring or autumn cool, not winter cool. Better for running outdoors.

I can’t quite understand what’s going on with the right hand in the photo.
