Slick marketing a product thats has a great user interface who cares whats under the plastic shell.

I will say their cpu chip tech puts intell to shame, but thats like saying you will only get 250k miles in a ford vs 500k in a toyota, either way you will want something new at the 10yr mark

At one time my phone, computer, apple tv thing all had to be apple to talk communicate with each other without extra programs ect now doesn’t matter. Was an issue in the aughts

I had a creative zen back in the day the audio quality was second to none apple is mediocre reliability.

Google's not making RCS part of AOSP either, since THEY want people on Android locked into Messages as a result of carrier incompetency and slow adaptation.

This is the big reason why Apple isn’t implementing RCS or putting iMessage on Android. They’ve discovered that messaging is the killer feature to get people on the platform. And once you're there, everything else gets an Apple logo for convenience’s sake.

That’s just removing it from its phone carrier ties. Say if you got it cheaper through a certain contract.

Yep, share shitty pixelated videos over text because the two platforms don’t play nice (Apple’s fault). The blue bubble loyalty is strong. I have multiple group texts where Android users are silently left off because blue bubble users don’t want to degrade the experience. These are nice people who would never exclude that person from a group conversation in real life.

In these group text cases, no…you can’t share things because you aren’t even in the conversation.

I’ve only partitioned an old laptop. It would be interesting to know if it would be possible on iPad or iPhone. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The M1 Max has been a huge benefit to what I do. Battery power is night and day. But I am actually editing 4D movies, recording high quality audio, creating a few dozen gigs of media every day or two, running numerous Ai tools that hog TF out of resources, have a few terminal processes that stay active, and I have 2 different browsers open with 100 tabs in each at basically all times 🤣🤣

With this thing literally maxed out for the MacBook I could get, I literally crashed it the other day because the combination of Davinci Studio using a bunch of 4K footage in an elaborate Fusion rendering and then transcribing one of my podcast episodes while talking to GPT4all just ate every ounce of RAM I had. I was literally writing to the drives to move the mouse around on the screen. I tried so hard to quit processes before it completely shit the bed but keyboard strokes weren’t even registering for like 10 seconds 😅

Apple fritters, Apple sauce, Apple cider...

I have lived on Android, BlackBerry, and Nokia. Finally went with the family crowd for the convenience. I really wanna get a Light Phone to cut back on smart phone usage, unrelated to yesterday’s situation.
