- public community - all users can post notes, and moderators can delete them (same as Reddit)

- restricted community - users can request notes to be added, moderators need to accept notes to be added

- users can join communities

- feed will show a list of notes of followed communities

- users can subscribe to topics by hashtags

- user feed will also show list of notes by tags

- this is an alpha release, will release it to let you guys play with it before adding more features

This. I actually love seeing the feature being added, but I don't want to have unresolvable Al Jazeera at the top of my client either. Great feature, but needs a bit on the UX side.

People don't like change. People like to complain. That said, giving people tools to remove something or opt out is best. This could be a preference in settings.

yeah i wholeheartedly agree. I don't really give a shit about "news" and to be fair, or at least i'm hoping that's probably just a test stream.

but they're absolutely should be away to block annoying streams or mute them or unsubscribe or whatever nomenclature you want to use to not see it if its annoying.
