I would absolutely give it a go. I'm not sure how hot you have to get it to deactivate the juglone.
I had some hope Twitter would mend its ways and become a decent member of society.
But I don't miss it. Let's grow nostr! I'm all in.
I still exist on certain social platforms, but I'm pretty much shadow banning them, at best.

Sunday pic of sunchokes in a lick bucket. This is the first time I've grown them since I was a kid. I also planted some out in a field type area where they will get mowed maybe once a year and be mostly ignored. But if they make it, they will be there if I want some.

Regarding deciding between using Fusion 360 and free CAD...
For hobby and prosumer use, FreeCAD is the way to go.
I will never be cut out of my CAD data, will never be forced to pay for it, and will never have to learn another CAD program. In 30 years, if things hold together for me, I'll likely still be using FreeCAD for my creative inventiveness. As an occasional user doing moderately complex things, that is a big deal. None of these programs are particularly easy to learn, and my goal is not to learn CAD programs, my goal is to do stuff.
When Fusion 360 and the like can do that for me, maybe I'll be back. But they won't, because that's not how they are.
And FreeCAD is said to run great on Linux. Linux is not my current operating system, but it is my preferred operating system

So how do you feel about modern tipping practices?
People sometimes enjoy leaving tips. Sometimes they feel obligated and feel bad about either tipping or not tipping. Some services automatically charge a tip.
But fundamentally it is a type of price increase. Will people have buyer's remorse and just stop going to your restaurant or taking a rideshare or whatever?
If there is going to be a price increase is tipping a feel good way to do it?
How do you feel about it?

As it turns out, it is still possible to have a human centric business in 2023.

Yes, and if for some reason they feel the land needs it, there are ways to do it better.
A Swingmill and/or slabber could saw it on site with essentially no footprint and leave the shavings and the cutoffs.
This country has been managed for millenia and we need to rediscover how to do it in the modern context. And not just the west coast.
