Very well said in this episode. It's not just the government that we're fighting. For lack of a better way of saying it, We're also fighting normies who don't give a shit about privacy and will respond with things like, if you're not doing anything wrong, what do you have to hide? Not only do we have to fight against unjust and corrupt governments, but we also have to work at changing the perception of the general public.

And I guess to be fair too, you don't really know how convicted you are until you're really put to the wire. It's going to be interesting to see how many people shut off their nodes under threat of violence. How many people stop mining because they are afraid to go to jail for potentially mining unsanctioned transactions. There might be some pretty dark periods of time in the US and the EU for Bitcoiners for a while. I dunno
I don't think I can emphasize this enough. Too many Bitcoiners are focused on things like number go up and adoption at all costs And not realizing that what we're doing is trying to change the world's power structures and they aren't going to go fucking quietly. They are going to use every nasty trick in the book and then some. People are going to go to jail. Hell, people might even die. Its not going to be easy or fast. And while I do believe that Bitcoin is a peaceful revolution, The powers that be do not see it that way. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
I used to be a pretty avid runner, but nowadays, I don't know what it is about the exercise, but I just don't fucking like it. I do a little bit of jogging because I like to not completely hate myself when I go backpacking, but it's the only reason I do it. 😅
