Iconic
"A few people decide over many" is true for any kind of organisation.
If you meant, that in a democracy, a majority dictates their will onto the rest, that idea is - at best - only very superficially true.
In a functioning democracy (i.e. the population is alert), no change can be made that excessively hurts even a 1% minority. Because otherwise you get protests, riots, etc. See Gilets Jaunes and similar movements.
Our current democracies are in danger from several sides:
- a complacent populace, sedated by free money and confused by crap on social media
- increasing centralisation (EU, WHO, FATF, โฆ) and deference of authority ("we're just implementing
- autocracies, using their transaction-based nature for a speed advantage to outplay rule-bound democracies.
- the broken fiat system, the collapsing of which was accelerated by excessive demands from both the unproductive (welfare state) and the ultra-rich (bail outs), both on the backs of the middle class.

One thing I loved about #MoneyElectric was all the non-Satoshi stuff.
- It painted bitcoin in a really good light that I would never expect from a journalist.
- Showed just how dumb the current financial system is and current economists.
- Depicted small blockers in a good light, and was generally positive about the outcome of the block wars.
- It highlighted El Salvadorโs success, and the gave a lot of attention to nostr:npub1jan3xfrvxmd35smylytmnp3ne0sgqh2x47yq766s55zaf6eja4rselx52y
A lot of non-bitcoiners are going to watch this over the years. With a small sample size of non-bitcoiners (my wife), sheโs not convinced that nostr:npub1ej493cmun8y9h3082spg5uvt63jgtewneve526g7e2urca2afrxqm3ndrm was Satoshi, but she actually watched the entire doc (that never happens) and I saw her listening attentively as they talked about all culturally relevant about bitcoin. This was good for bitcoin.
If Money Electric did one good thing, at least it pointed me to Peter on nostr. Thanks, Dylan ๐
Followed both ofc

Stripping a FOSS product seems close to impossible, because each contributor is enamored with their contribution and many users miss some functionality when they switch to a leaner fork, so forks don't "make it" ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Very interesting article about the nature of time. Have your mind blown!
