Because fiatjaf released nostr as open source software individuals around the world are able to build and iterate on the protocol without permission.

Open source software is viral in nature. It spreads and grows without a company or individual controlling it. With a project like nostr still in its infancy it is amazing to watch the power of open source collaboration in action.

People love to argue about which open source license is best. Fiatjaf’s license is two words: “Public domain.”

Anyone else not really missing Twitter all that much? As more and more of our friends from Twitter use Nostr, begin to see it's potential, see that we're building, and see how fast developers are iterating, the need for Twitter is going to shrink completely.

If the domain or server went down today, your NIP-05 ID would stop working. Thankfully, I plan to run this forever or until nostr dies. The domain was only bought for one year, but I plan on renewing every year for the foreseeable future. I have big plans for this. I gotchu.

I've always viewed a digital nomad as someone that can work anywhere in the world, remotely. I think Mike Elgan used to call his blog that? Anyways, now I think of it as something differently as your data can go with you, anywhere you please.

If you have any problems when registering your NIP-05 ID, logging into our management portal, updating your public key, or anything related to the NIP-05 ID that you received from us, just visit our homepage and click the purple chat icon in the bottom right corner. This will create a support request and either myself or @semisol.dev will get with you ASAP.

Soon we'll be adding a **Knowledge Base** with questions and answers to popular queries and issues that I've been fielding over the past two days.
