and without much of an explanation. Feels like gag orders in place.
According to ["A message from Ray"](https://paxful.com/sign-up-transition), Paxful is closing shop immediately!
Cal me paranoid but that feels like part of "chokepoint 2.0".
Paxful has more than 6 (or 5 or 10 ...) million users and is in business since almost 8 years.
The other day, Localbitcoins closed shop almost as hastily.
These two were the biggest P2P trading platforms.
Come on! You did that, sent Kieran a screeny and he took your inspiration a step too far.
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/345 is pretty ingenious and simple, and could be a good thing, even though I agree with all the criticisms it has received too.
But personally I don't understand why we can't just use torrents. BitTorrent already supports "webseeds", which are servers that literally serve the file, and the same file can be served from many of these servers. BitTorrent is a very simple protocol too, with many libraries and implementations in many different languages. There is no reason to reinvent things.
Or maybe there is. What is the reason? What can this (or other similar proposals) do that BitTorrent directly can't?
Can you demo loading profile pictures from a torrent in a browser client?
I admit I did not search for it and would be happy with an example page loading just a bunch of content addressable images.
fuck, I did this as a joke and now it won't go away! what black magic is this? RELOAD-RELOAD-RELOAD!

Wait, you injected this in snort via your profile or something? I see it pop up and go away somehow but hadn't realized that Snort was hacked with some injection!?!?

As far as standards go, nostr is famous for its accessibility. And many in the community - including me - think we need more nips, not less.
Why do we need [07.md](https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/07.md)? Well, it helps those working on browser clients and browser extensions to coordinate their efforts. If you are not working with the browser, you can ignore that nip just like I would ignore other nips that - thanks to my contributions to their discussions I'm even featured as co-author of.
I agree that some see nips as "validation for their app ideas" and that's problematic. It's also why the [Readme](https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips) states as first "Criteria for acceptance of NIPs": "They should be implemented in at least two clients and one relay -- when applicable." and sometimes we ignored Rule 1.
But formalizing ways of doing things help with interoperability. So I'm all for a nip on how chess clients work. I see the problem in the centralized repository where such a nip would be a distraction. The Jester guy would care about such a nip. Not me. But just as I care about the interoperability of social clients, I very much hope for interoperability for long-form clients like Habla or for ride hailing apps.
If not on GitHub under Fiatjaf's reign, where to best [consolidate implementation proposals](https://habla.nostr.info/a/naddr1qqdxsmmh23h5xmmwwdhkc6tyv96x2nr0den5vmmjd4zkuqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wvf5hgcm0d9hx2u3wwdhkx6tpdshszenhwden5te0ve5kcar9wghxummnw3ezuamfdejj7mnsw43rzemdxa682anj89shgcekw5mhzvm8v4mx5en909n8jandwfk82mp50ymrw6ehw5mkscmc0f685d3hvdjk27rnxqmnsunxxclkyun0v9jxxctnws7hgun4v5q3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn09eehgu3wvdez7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctczypr0e03svh40rtncz9r9jf8y3y3nv0ln75nt6mmn6lqcfvttmr8y6qcyqqq823cgtg38y) though?
I'm a paying customer, too. It's so amazing. But with the possibilities one gets ambitious and ends up spending more time prompting Midjourney than one would have spent searching stock images.

the image? That's a snort issue then ... #[2]
Wait, that dog's shadow is cast weirdly.
The rest of the building has no hard shadows.
If the shadow was printed, why would it be to the left on the right dog and to the right on the left dog?
Yeah, apparently telling people that DCA-ing $10 at a time is a bad idea is controversial.

Having hundreds of such low UTXOs will cost you hundreds of $$ to send eventually. Consolidate while you can.
Primal: No notifications, no messages.
Nostrich.com: Looks fast and complete and has multi-account handling! Is it open source?
Coracle is lacking in the notifications tab. Compare coracle with nostrgram and snort:

I actually did try coracle right before sending the note but it failed to login.
I clicked around a bit more now and managed to login with nip7. Looks quite good. Will play more with it.
Which are the best browser nostr clients right now?
Snort is great but [doesn't show who's my correspondence](https://github.com/v0l/snort/issues/481).
NostrGram is great but closed source. I don't only want to use but beta test and report issues with the client I use but for beta-testing closed-source products, I would usually charge money.
Astral has great features but doesn't load at all right now ๐.
Twitter added a Dog? I would say Twitter removed a bird. #[2]
