https://walletscrutiny.com https://nostr.info Working on Bitcoin, Nostr and being a good dad.

CheapAir let me down this time. So we are flying from Santiago to Munich and CheapAir offered a relatively cheap direct flight. At least so I thought. The search result did mention "nonstop" and it still says so in my "Trip Details" but "nonstop" is only the flight to Madrid and the follow-up flight to Munich. 14h later.

How is that not false advertisement?

CheapAir did not offer to book baggage on this no-baggage flight and told me the URL with the airline and the reservation code to put there. The form does not recognize the reservation code.

How is international travel still such a mess?

Many projects have a link to the code repository in the footer but sadly not all. In fact most of the nostr social clients don't have a footer to put stuff like this. Also as a non-coder you might not recognize these immediately as how would you know why a link might be labeled gitea or GitHub or worse, with a cute octocat or a tea bag.

While I'd love to share a bunch of links here, this is a duty of the developers. If the want to dial up issue reporting, they have to make it easier to report issues. Maybe they only want fellow developers to report issues to avoid low quality submissions?

PSA: Reporting issues on your favorite open source tools really helps a lot!

You cannot code? You cannot sponsor a coder? Report issues!

Almost all nostr tools that are popping up are one-man shows and their developers often even have no idea if anybody likes or uses their tools. Submitting issues to their repositories not only helps them to improve the product but it also motivates to see there is somebody who cares.

Very busy repositories often struggle with too many issues - often of the ideas-type. And with duplicates. But most of the nostr tool repositories are not busy and issues are greatly welcome.

Last year I met nostr:npub15q939zv20p67cp4unyahhzxj2cuyfddwzq3dease0stp8w7z82xqvv70hk on the playground with our kids. I liked his often morbid art and bought a box he made. I found the artwork with keys and ornaments fitting for Bitcoin keys and told him about the #Bitcoin meme of obituaries. How Bitcoin is dead any other day. As he was curious about Bitcoin already, I suggested he could try the waters with some Bitcoin themed art but ... he's not a die hard bitcoiner (yet), so nothing came of it at first.

This February I took the initiative and commissioned him to create 10 boxes - coffin shaped, big enough to keep some hardware wallets or wallet backups in them. Robert also experimented with a hidden compartment and magnets to close the boxes.

The first few are ready and I wonder where to go from here. Where would I sell Bitcoin art on nostr? Or better not on nostr?

Trying. But to create an account (and confirm the nostr key) they claim to send a DM but I'm not seeing any DM yet.

I bought flights @CheapAir several times before. Now I have a problem and their hotline just cuts the call no matter which option I try.

Chat on Twitter is open but doesn't get a reply neither.

Mail was not answered in a day neither.

I start to worry if I do have a ticket ...

Uuuf, got memes but x5 more posts than my other follows combined. Time to open a Snort issue to limit/group posts somehow.

Multi-vendor-multi-sig is probably the most secure you can get but seedsigner being one of the signing devices is already a great choice I think. I saw they made advances with reproducibility but are not there yet. But even as a black box, it can do little evil due to the way it works.
