That page is dangerous as it makes it all too easy to also delete your follows list so tread lightly but that said, I'm glad I found it. After clicking the "save" button in the top left box I now know I can always get back to having the follows I had today. You mean 2000 events for 2000 follows? I don't think that is efficient.
Ok, that's .... a wild tool. So it copies your kind-3 to kind-30001 if you so choose and then lets you replace your list with other lists but you can also use it to backup your list to later restore it.
While that is great and lets me as a power user of nostr use other clients with more peace of mind after doing the backup, I was more thinking of a service that reaches out to those potentially noobs who screwed up - after all it's publicly available information. To track and archive who follows whom would allow much more than only offer to recover old follows. It would allow to detect trends in the network.
I wish I had the time and resources to throw an LLM at the problem. So much data to play with.

Good to know. I'm paranoid of manipulating my follows with new clients and have been using Snort for that exclusively.
It should be straight forward to write a service that detects these loss-of follows events. If you are working on such a service, I would not consider it spam if you DM me with an offer. "Hey, could it be you just accidentally unfollowed nostr.build, Jeff, Peter and 150 more? Reply 'help' if you want us to help you out." It could offer a list of npubs or a tool to fully consolidate the follows list for different prices.

Most of these issues are rather low hanging fruits, if you want to get familiar with the open source code of this wonderful nostr client, fixing several in a day should not be out of reach.
I noticed the current use of nip32 is not very consistent or plenty. Good to know not to build on that then.

I want community ratings for Bitcoin wallets. The whole thing can get arbitrarily complex where raters might get accredited as experts and they don't only rate from one to five stars but also attest to features and security aspects with long-form reviews backing their ratings.
I don't want to re-invent the wheel and saw that nip32 was for ratings and labels such as bech32 support or lightning support etc. so my hope is that if I do this right, other clients could also author or correctly interpret what comes out from my product.
How about the skill to hire the right people? Can't grow a business without that one and if you have it, you are the right guy for any VC.

Today my 3yo did the laundry! She noticed her doll had gotten her pants dirty so she said she would wash them. From far I hear her ask around if anybody else has dirty laundry to wash. Next I heard her at the washing machine alone. By the time I got there, she already had put the detergent into the correct compartment. I watched her close the drawer and close the door. She wasn't very decisive about which program to put the machine on, so I helped her with that. She pressed the start button as if she had done laundry a million times before 😄
