Actually, in a way that's not too far off. What you're seeing is my pubkey in hex. That's what people on the nostr side do use to refer to me, but for most clients they make it much easier to do.

The no details for declined transactions really bugs me. I was previously using Fold for everything but have put it on hold. There's still a few things out there that are still trying to hit my account but until they contact me to complain about not being paid, I have no idea who they are.

It's a bit worse on nostr than other networks because on the nostr you have control over the events you want to see, but on X or Facebook you have no control over what you are shown so you don't even try to do something like make sure you've seen everything you've missed since you last looked. With nostr, you might even be shown a number of how many posts there are to load so you have to face that inbox problem.
I wish the #nostrudel post-posting screen had a close X on the dialog. It would just have the same effect as clicking just about anywhere else, but it would stop me from getting confused when I can't find it.
I'll never register, but if WinRAR was on nostr, I'd probably at least give them a zap.

I've never really used Gentoo, so I can't compare. Nix has quite a steep learning curve, but I bet it's easier for people that start off using flakes from the start. I originally learned using an older way and it was challenging to get everything ported over.
One of the things I really like about #NixOS so far is that you don't really uninstall things as much as you just comment out that line.
