Fun taken seriously

Is there any documentation on how to implement Nostr into an existing website or app, like what Fountain has done?

My wife got on the hook by a scammer today! She’s not a technophobe by any means, so it’s quite unsettling. Here’s what happened…

She received email asking if she would like to be interviewed on a podcast of a well known “influencer”, about her business and her expertise.

Over a series of emails a time gets booked for a Zoom pre-call to go over the schedule for the interview the next day.

Zoom link gets sent, which my wife clicks on, the link does open Zoom application on computer and my wife waits, the application says “host has been notified and will join soon”. She does not enter any login credentials, the application looks to be actual Zoom app.

But after 30 min of waiting, host never joined.

Then she tells me what happened and I investigate, finding out this has happened to others.

I read through the correspondence between her and scammer, first email says they will remunerate her for her time.

For scammer to not get on the call, I’m wondering why they didn’t take the next step? And was the next step to get her on the call and try to somehow get her to divulge her bank details so they can “pay”her? I have previously listened to the nostr:npub1kkexr9d6lgtmd37tuqgqk2gcas79u95vun6qxd77wm6swt70qjnsek7348 social engineering calls, it gives me chills how persuasive they are…

Or have they somehow been able to access the computer in the 30 min she was waiting in the lobby of the call with the application open? I’m 80% sure the application is the real Zoom.

If they did get access to the computer, what could they have gotten, and what should I do from here?

This is a fantastic example where the Nostr Web of Trust would have stopped this in its tracks, as my wife could have checked if the podcast “manager” was indeed connected to the high profile influencer via WOT, which couldn’t be faked.

If we are possibly still vulnerable please advise!

Is it possible to delete your own note yet on Nostr?

If it’s your own created note, I believe you should be able to edit/delete.

I hear ya! Being luke warm about something won’t get you very far.

Here’s something that stresses me on Damus… when I tap on a note reply, to see what the replies are to that reply, to then go back, it jumps to home feed instead of going back one step.

So I find myself hesitant to tap, because I hate having to try and find the original note again when I’ve been sent to updated home feed that has since had new notes. Hope that makes sense.

nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg what are the benefits of a business running an eCash mint for its customers? I heard you mention it on nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx nostr:npub10atn74wcwh8gahzj3m0cy22fl54tn7wxtkg55spz2e3mpf5hhcrs4602w3 podcast with Amazon as the example, but I didn’t quite understand.

I just set one of my nostr:npub1wxl6njlcgygduct7jkgzrvyvd9fylj4pqvll6p32h59wyetm5fxqjchcan reactions to 1K sats and the first person to figure out which one it is gets the #zap.

📈

Every time I see PV I default to thinking Photo Voltaic.

Why is everything in feet on Nostr right now? Should be metric 📏 lol. #footsr

Maybe to do a manu in the river, then back on stage …

Haha, same here. Listening to the convos podcast style while building.

Yikes, all black diamonds!!! 🫣
